"If Satan Were a Car, This Would be It"

"Just Lucky to be Here"
Rob has been beating on the Bugatti Veyron lately, and I don’t blame him. Even if I had a million and a half bucks laying around, I wouldn’t bother with that over-priced codpiece. That car is much more about status than performance, and Tom Cruise owns one. Everyone knows he’s a total tool, and other than the fact that we’re both male mammals, we don’t have anything in common. So even if I had a bazillion bucks, I’d want to keep it that way.
Anyway, when I stumbled across this video today, I knew I had to post it. Andy Frost’s 1972 Vauxhall Victor began life as a staid family car. It’s still street legal, but now it has a 9.3 liter V8, two thousand horses and quarter mile times that make the Bugatti look like a stock Taurus. Of course, the guys in the clip note that. Repeatedly. Check it out.

John,
Thanks for sharing that..
I’ve often thought the same way about my pro street monza. I paid about 12 grand for it.. its street legal.. and can spank lambo’s or vipers or ferarri’s..
But only in a straight line of course.. I wonder how that guys car handles.. looked like it used pump gas.. probably boosts the octane up but still..
Nice post!
