Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

I used to answer e-mails for our Tech Support department, and I received many requests for OEM parts for everything from old school muscle cars to modern tuner cars–interior trim panels, hard-to-find exterior parts, etc. Unfortunately, that’s not who CarDomain is, and we don’t carry things like that. However, if you ever need to find factory gauge cluster for your 87 VW GTI, a rear bumper support for your 99 Corolla, or a sunroof motor for your 92 Mustang, check out Car-Part.com. They host a database of 91+ million parts for late models vehicles. And they make finding the right part easy. For example, if you are looking for an engine for your 98 Honda Accord, their site already knows your engine is also compatible with an 02 and will display the results accordingly.

Car-Part’s database compiles inventories from over 2000 automotive recyclers from coast to coast and in three countries (Canada, Mexico and the USA). It’s the largest online database of used parts. You can limit your search by region, state, zip code or search it all! Even if you really don’t need anything, it’s pretty fun to use just to see what you can find.

There are a number of web sites that claim to recycle or re-use vehicles, whats the difference between us taking a car to the scrap yard or logging on to a site such as http://mysite.orange.co.uk/dgmotors and having them arrange for it to be collected ?
