Three Wheels? Not For Me …

"Just Lucky to be Here"

I learned to ride motorbikes when I was eleven, and I sent my Honda CR80  cartwheeling more times than
I can remember. But even when I was being bucked off, it communicated
very well, and mechanically, it was bulletproof. Then there was the
three-wheeler. Think it’d be easy to ride?  Forget it. That thing had a mind of its own, and would send you over the handlebars on a whim. So maybe that’s why I’m prejudiced against three-wheeled vehicles. They just rub me the wrong way. I mean, look at the animal world. There are creatures with four legs and two legs. Are there any animals that, by design, have three legs? Think about that. There’s probably a good reason.

That’s why I can’t really get fully behind the Phiaro. It looks like it’d be a blast to drive—I love that it leans into turns—but I just can’t get beyond the fact that it’s only got three wheels. Oh, and it’s ugly. What do you think?

Looks like a blast! It’s ugly, but I’d rock it purely for the experience. Man I love how it leans into corners…

BMW, VW, and Lotus are all experimenting with 3-wheeled vehicles. With advancements in suspension technology, I suspect you won’t have the same problem as the 3-wheelers you’re used to.
