With Marketing Like This … It’s No Surprise You’ve Never Seen One.

I love old Soviet stuff. Maybe it’s all that "evil empire" propaganda I heard as a kid, but I’m just fascinated with Russia’s culture, strange architecture, and especially, its cars. I’ve seen Lambos, Ferraris and Aston Martins on Seattle streets, but a Russian car? Never.   

And while Russians have a lot to be proud of—space travel, vodka, AK47s—their attempts to imitate Western culture have been less successful. Remember Gorky Park? Because that’s what I thought of when I saw this car commercial. This was posted on the always entertaining English Russia, and you don’t have to understand a word to find it hilarious.
