I love the pics of the people, the cars are very cool also, but cars are the best way to put out your freedom of expression, I find it very interesting to see what type of people go with what car.

Cars and good looking girls… Been going on for a long time, even before HOT ROD put ‘em on paper in ‘49. She isn’t being obscene, unless you don’t like Toyotas, trucks, or women. If she has the intestinal fortitude to believe she is good looking enough to complement her truck (which she most certainly is), then she should do it if she likes.

What’s going on?, someone complaining about “Cars/Ladies” they go together very well,throw in a beer or two a good sunny day you’ve got happiness. If you didn’t know it’s been going on for a very long time,ever been for a walk through a “Pit Lane” two hours before race start?

As I sit here at my desk working at Earthlink, Inc. I’m not supposed to be doing stuff like this. BUT… Cardomain is for cars and cars alone. Sure you can have pics of models with your cars or you with your car if the focus IS ON YOUR CAR but thats pretty much the extent of it. Check out my shit Honda!!!

When you come a site that is overwhelming male dominated, and post about how your boyfriend broke up with you, it’s for attention, not for your car. A lot of girls on here are complete attention whores, and they can use this site to get attention from the opposite sex by posting pictures of themselves, knowing a lot of guys are going to post about their looks, not about their car. Come on, it’s what guys do. I’ve been at car shows plenty of times where a guy has asked to take my picture instead of my car’s. In that case, I walk over to my car and position myself right so that my car is going to be a lot of the picture. Yes, it’s annoying, but it’s male behavior, and I grin and bear it, knowing that because I have boobs, I will never be taken quite as seriously as a guy with the same exact car as I.

The same thing is used when girls post car forums… they post pics of themselves topless in a newbie thread, it gets whored up by the leg humpers, and then you never hear from that girl again. They weren’t there for their car, they were there for themselves. There’s two classes of females on cardomain… ones who are car enthusiasts and have alot about their cars (and perhaps a handful of photos of themselves thrown in, like me), and the ones who are using this as an attention getting avenue for themselves personally. I think that’s something everyone can agree on.

I understand if you want to put a picture of you with your car and that in all car shows there are bomb ass models but these chicks are focusing on them and not there cars.Just look at the poll that taco girl has in her page,taking pictures of her on a bathing suit blows out all of the poll.Now you tell me if the page is about her truck. If you want to post personal shit about your life and your relationship with your boyfriend or girlfriend go to myspace.This page is for car enthusiast and should be kept that way..

I exercise a little thing I call my own free will. When I do that, I can make decisions that might have helped those who are complaining. This is how the thought process works:

1) Do I like what I’m looking at? In this case, obviously, No.
2) Did I make what I don’t like? No I didn’t, I should visit another ride’s page that doesn’t offend me.

The point is if you don’t like something, GO AWAY from it.
Just like in America where the consumer has the right to NOT buy something, with the internet, you have a right to not go somewhere you don’t like. Easy as 1-2-Pie.

Ypu guys need to get a life, and quit complaining! Without people, there would be no cars. She has on clothes, and she’s a pretty lady to boot. I have to agree with many comments that this IS a myspace for car drivers/owners….But that might not be a bad thing. There are many more specific web pages for specific needs, like performance, technology, paint, and most are brand specific (eg: Silverado or civic owners site). I like this site because of the fact it is more general. Anyone can go to a car show or performance website and see “blinged-out” rides with every single aftermarket part available, but this site shows what everage people can do. I like this site cause it’s a more practical view of automotive enthusiasts. Not everyone can throw $30,000 and a years time into customizing a car, and this site proves that. I’m actually a little tired of $40,000 civics, and rediculously powered street machines that are barely driven. This site is for die-hard car people. By die-hard I mean they would love ANY car as long as it was there’s. I can basically sum it up the same way I feel about sensorship….if you don’t like it, piss-off and leave it alone for the people who do, no one is forcing you to view this. Yeah so this basically is myspace-autos, but who cares! At least it’s a little more specific than myspace. I do think you should at least own a car if you’re to register here…just my $0.02

To be honest we are all like the cars we ride our cars express our artistic side our cars with out us are empty shells with a very flat sence of style, its not so much the question weather cardomain is about people or cars so much as are you inspired enough by your car to show others that like your car your a working progress so why not blend the two, as far as the profile in question theres two different things goin on lets face it tacomas aint that great of tuner rides, and in my opinion theres a difference in a guy hiring a name brand ride model to model for a few shots where a 100% percent of the car can be sein fully while ilustrating all features :engine:exhaust ect ect: from what i seen in that picture if you wouldnt have told me that was a tacoma i wouldnt bet that it was the thing that stuck out to me the most was the gurls big head all up on the camera , to be honest with you if your going to be a cam hoochie do it right because you will soon discover why YOU OR YOUR RIDE is not on import tuner or sport compact or lowrider cause honestly if you think people come to a car site to see your grill 5 inches from the camera you need to get over your self like i said if your going to be a cam hoochie do it right back off from the camera and do your car justice and put on a bathing suit and combine the two and at least follow true tuner tradition THIS IS NOT AMERICAS NEXT TOP MODEL

ok ok touchey! this site wasnt intended specifically for pics of ppl but Come on now… This site also wasn’t created with the intent of being dramatic… I believe people should simply use a seperate page for their bios… after all it is “your” site… you wanna add pics of yourself make them appear on your bio link… this way if someone is interested in seeing pics of you, they may… if not they have the choice not too…

It’s about the cars. I really don’t want to see a bunch of pitures of naked people. I want to see HOT CARS!!!!! It’s ok to put a picture of you somewhere on your site but not on the main picture.

Posting pics of yourself is good. It lets people get to know the person behind the car. But there is a point at which I think it’s not cool. In-appropriate? Not unless there are no cars at all in the page. If all you want to post is lots of pics of you with your car, that’s fine. But I think it’s less of what people want on here. Maybe I’m wrong. But I went to a site yesterday because they posted a video on StreetFire.net. The site posted a video showing how they were a car video site, but when I got there it was just short of a soft core porn site. If I wanted porn I’d get it, but I think a lot of people are here because, like myself, they want to see other cars.

She’s not even that cute. Above average, but nothing special.

I dont see the problem…there are alot of provocative pics of my wife on my page and it aint to get no dudes attention its because i think she is the best model for the car. after all she is helping to pay for all the work done to it. she has a right to be on the pics. and if you dont like it dont view it. hell i think its up to the individual thats why they become members to express themselves. we still reserve that right dont we?

I don’t get it….. I see what… 2 pictures of her on her entire site and that makes CarDomain just like MySpace?! I could just be blind but I fail to see the controversy surrounding her site. Now I could understand if 90% of the pictures were of her, but they aren’t. Well thats my two cents in the matter.

If you want to put up a picture of yourself with your car why should that bother anybody if you dont like it go somewhere els. Cars and women go tegether like penut butter and jelly (and vice versa for the ladies) and if a good looking girl has a nice car that she worked on that makes her even hotter. Besides isnt your car really like an extension of yourself.
If you want to complain about something on this site lets yell about the posers who put up pictures of cars they dont even own!!!!!

I think the difference comes down to people just posting pics of themselves with their car just for the heck of it, and girls posting up pictures of themselves just wanting attention for themselves. I like the girl with the STI, cute pose, and she’s not in a bikini, on the hood, with her ass sticking out and legs spread almost showing her girly bits going “Aren’t I so hot?!?” This spring once I get my new fire jacket and helmet in, I want to take pictures of my car with me holding the helmet (or something to that effect). Those will probably end up on my page, because they show my car, what it’s used for, who drives it, and (hopefully) that racing is my passion. The key thing is that my car will take up the majority of the picture, and I will be beyond fully dressed.

Either way, long story short, there’s nothing wrong with just taking a picture with your car and posting it up. It’s the annoying attention whores that I hate that have more pics of themselves than their car on the site and are probably just on this site looking for random, creepy guys to reinforce the idea in their head that they’re hot.

I don’t see what the big deal is, every import show that happens, the girls are as hot as the cars, and get probably just as many hits as the car photos. It’s not porn, and tx_taco_girl is wearing more clothing then the girls at import nite shows. If people are bothered by this, they have serious issues, what would happen if there was nudity in some of the pics? They’d flip out!
