Lambo Out, Here's the Word from Mr. Angry
Posted by: Rob Editor-in-Chief |
I’m a Bay Area native, lived in SF for eight years. Come on, the city isn’t that hard to navigate! Seriously, Seattle is worse. Anyway, great episode but it made me homesick. Mr. Angry has some funny comments on the Bimmer… |

Hey man I’m going for the 68′ Charger. Gotta love the classic muscle. I was for the mustang. To bad they had engine trouble. The 57′ chevy’s ass was saved by everybody’s engine trouble. Right now i’m going for the Charger, F-150, BMW or the Lotus guys.
GOOD LUCK Go kick some ASS

What’s up? I have to say, this show is great. I’m not much of a reality show fan, but I do like to see people go out and do crazy things in their everyday cars.
I’m rooting for F-150, ’57 Chevy, Olds, and Charger. The teams have a lot of personality and are a lot more entertaining, and their cars have character. The fact that they threw a pickup truck into the competition is really cool, I think.
However, my final 3 predictions are F-150, Charger, and Trans Am. F-150 and Trans Am always seem to do well, but Chevy and Olds are consistently down near the bottom, which is a shame because they’re the funniest to watch. You guys in the Charger seem to always finish mid-pack, but somehow it seems like you always know what you’re doing and are a step ahead of the competition (the map thing? Probably what killed the Scion.) Plus, I gotta root for the New Yorkers, and I’m not sure how much farther the Oldsmobile’s gonna get.
I was almost the owner of a mean Dodge. Okay, not so mean. More like 97hp 1992 Shadow. But what it lacked in performance it made up for in looks and reliability. It belonged to my father, who drove it for a trouble-free 315,000 miles(!). It still runs like new, but my dad doesn’t trust the chassis after it got into a little accident, so my parents bought me an ’02 Cavalier. I’ll miss the Shadow, lot of fond memories in it.

Mike,
I love the car. Even though my email is Blue69RT, my dream car is the ’68, RT or no. Like you said, I love the open grill, and the round tail lights. I also prefer the seat in the ’68.
I appreciate your mod list, too. It gives me a list for whenever I am able to get a Charger, because the one thing I want to do is drive it, and I want it to be able to handle in a modern fashion, so your suspension mods are dead on for what I want.
Thanks for your time, and I hope Team 01 wins it all..

Hey, lovin the Charger man! That can is badass! Definetly hope you guys win the whole thing! Forget these foreign cars! Gotta go with american muscle! It was cool that you talked about Bullitt with the Charger vs Mustang chase scene. One of my favorite movies of all time just because of that 8 minute or so chase in the movie! lol But yea hope you guys hang in there and kick some ass in the next parts of Bullrun! Goodluck!
By the way, how long ago were you guys in Seattle?? I live about 20 minutes from there and I never heard about you guys drivin through there… Wish I coulda seen it!

Gotta admit I was shocked the 57 wasn’t out at the end. I have to admit that I was a little giddy when the Lambo was told to go. Not because I hated them, but I don’t like Lambos to begin with. I’m building a 1948 Nash 600 THAT WILL BE DRIVEN REGULARLY! Its all American(for those that don’t know it was one of the 3 that formed AMC, which was later bought by Chrystler). I can only hope that when I’m done it’ll handle somewhere near where that Charger does(its lighter but taller).
Its too bad the ‘bama boys weren’t there to do some reinactment of Bullet.
The BMW guys shouldn’t have done the burnout as long as they did. They had the RPM’s WAY too high for that car, and are very lucky that computer was smarter than they were. My wife put it best. “Its cool to see a muscle car do a burn out as a show of power. Its not cool to see a luxury car do a burnout… ever!” She followed that with a side note of if she ever saw me do a burnout in a Cadillac she would smack me.

The Charger is still rockin’ on… we built that for drivability and more important reliability – occasionally we’d open the hood, make sure the engine was still there, then just keep on keepin’ on…

Hi Mike
I like Jeff and John. I do not know them except from the show but they honestly seem like nice guys. I wish them the best of luck. You did not have too much to say about how your car was doing. I hope all is well. Loved the show. Mary and I did guess the Lambo would not continue beyond last night so at least we got something right.
Regards,
Jerry & Mary
