am huge euro cars fan,however i once was in love with the wrx until this model came out and just killed the it as a previous owner of the MY 99 WRX i think that they should fire the whole design team and go bak to wat made them on Top, the models from my 98-2006 as wrx once was an evo killer.

I have a 2007 wrx with a 1.8L VTEC engine which makes it the fastest car in the world and it will smoke any car out there especially stupid celicas supras or evos. If Subaru are thinking their loyal supporters will receive this car with praise….they are wrong! I am a previous WRX owner and I have gone off them completely. There is no appeal to them anymore.

I agree with comment for Subaru to go back 7 years to the MY00…they were on the right track there and moved away from it…the same shape that gained Subaru its huge wrx fan base.

Why would Subaru put a Chrysler grill on a WRX?

I didn’t know the Chrysler Sebring was “rally-inspired”! What a joke.

I’ve read that Subaru is attempting to get more women to consider the WRX.

So that might explain why they’ve attempted to “soften” the lines and do away with the rally-inspired cues.

I don’t think this plan will work. Not many women are willing to pay an extra $4,000 for a turbo charged version of the Impreza.

Subaru should be designing the WRX for the people who already love the car.

It almost looks like someone put a Lincoln LS front fascia on it with the old WRX’s headlights, if you look at it right…
Bad news is it looked better on the Lincoln.

Awful is not a strong enough word to describe how I feel about the lack of style that Subaru put into this design!!! What happened to the styling of those usual bulging fenders over the tires? What happened to the grille? Why does the grille now look like a stupid Chyrsler Sebring? The styling is so plain and boring! Those of you who think it looks like a Camry too. How boring! What happened to the sporty sexy styling of the earlier Imprezas? I too will stick with my 06!

I agree. It definitely looks better as a sedan. And I hate saying that since I’m such a fan of hatchbacks. I still don’t like the Mazda grille though. But that’s what the aftermarket is for!
