i live by jon and this car is street legal and stock bodied …if you can find a street legal full metal body full glass full interior car with LEGIT plates that pulls 8’s in the quarter with a 4 banger then ok but im sure you wont …so dont hate ..appreciate and jon ..me and my volvo turbo 740 are still gunnin’ for ya…wonder if youve ever4 thought about the twin cam volvo head swap for the for ford 2.3

I am extremely impressed with such power out of such small displacement motors. Certain comments posted are obviously the result of ignorance as one reader wishes to compare 4 cylinders to 10 cylinders and others wish to bring up drag only cars such as the VW bug (not street driven for any lengths of time) and bgd finally figures out rwd as oppposed to awd. I am not biased as I too am extremely impressed with what the Subarus can do and have very good friends with turbo chrysler 2.2s that can spank the hell out of most any V8 cars at any of your local tracks. To have such a talent for feats such as this are to be rewarded. Congratulations!! Mr. Huber

Not sure about the “Fastest” claim, but this is an impressive car none the less. 20 year old technology, VERY streetable car, mostly full interior, glass, and I think all steel body. A lot of hand made parts also. There’s not much aftermarket support for these cars. so you have to make or adapt a lot of parts.
Considering that most would go with a V8 for drag racing, these guys are doing great.
I belong to the SVOCA, and have hung out with the Hubers. They’re great guys too.

I am certain that the mustang claim is rather bold and unjustified.
The beetle is a 1950 btw with engine upgrade (they have been doing that for years)

The class he is in is rwd street legal. I have also spotted a subaru wrx in the 8s as a 4wd, and that would seperate them apparently.

note the rpm/turbo sound differences between a boxer and the stang.
Does anyone have an address for a four cyl turbo stang at dragstrip. I have seen them in the 8’s and turbo’d. incredible given the 2.3 liter I know. Boxer is the world champ and always will be, even with japans goofy 5 main bearings
