I think that this is so pathetic you take joy in other peoples misery by offering a “prize.” What has this world become?

Well i just bought a 97 honda civic. It has a system and everything. the only thing is i am a delvery driver and i just learned to drive a stick. While using my tomtom to get me to the address im looking for its sometimes hard to know when to shift. I figure with a big tach and shift light there would be no dought when to shift. Also it would add to the bare interior. There isn’t much going on inside the car. It would help out a lot.

Well I dont want this to sound like a sob story because we all have it hard but I really cant afford it. Ive seen those brand gauges from a tach to an oil pressure gage at Autozone and wish I could get them. why I should have the tach is I am a disabled 34 year old man living on a monthly check from texas, Ive been working on my 81 chevy 2 door malibu for over 5 years. Being disabled and not really being able to buy much on a budget is kinda hard to be able to have your dream car just the way Ive dreamed of. I save my money and try to pay my bills and what ever is left I try to buy what I can afford for my car. I have a sunpro triple gage setup on the dash I cut out the front panel and made round holes to fit them right in. That tach you are giving away would match my gauges perfectly because there also white. I visit cardomain all the time and most of the time I sit there and wish my car looked as good as those other malibus I see on there with the nice gauges, but I try the best I can. I love my malibu and wouldn’t give it up for the world I just wish sometimes I could do more. I watch every car show on tv and browse car domain like crazy.I guess it makes me feel closer to what I really really wish I could afford. Well thanks for the chance to win this tach.

So i commented yesterday, and I will plan on commenting every day, My name is Bryan, and right now i am driving a bone stock ford aspire. I have some parts on order, but i can’t spend too much money right now because i am just finishing school. I actually learned to drive stick on this car (i bought it from my dad after driving it for a while) and it DOES NOT!!! have a tach in it at all. My life currently revolves around my car, and anything about it. I sit in class and think about what i can do to it. Just this weekend, as you can see from my page, I spent over 24 hours working on my car. I redid my gauges so that they have a custom look to them, and it actually took me over 8 hours to finish them and get them just the way i wanted. Except that they don’t have a tach. I have endured living in a standard car without a tach for long enough. As you will see by looking at page 2 of my ride page, this new tach will blend in with my freshly customized gauge cluster beautifully!

May 7, 2007 at 7:51 pm
Hi my name is James Dean and I’m 15 years old. I’m currently working on a project car with my dad, we are fixing up our 1999 Pontiac Firebird. I have stock gauges except for the nitrous oxide gauges on the pillar mounts. This car means the world to me, and of coarse it means a lot to my dad. I’ve learned so much working on this project, I hope we never finish it. That way I can have more time with my dad. I spend so much time with my father, I love him so much. We are going to donate the car to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). I have type one diabetes, I’ve had this deadly decease since I was 8 years old. Diabetes is where your pancrease dosent produce insulin anymore, which means I have to take a shot everytime I eat. It dosent sound bad but it takes away your favorite things, I havent been able to spend the night with my friends since I got this horrible decease. I hardly ever get to eat anything sweet like candy or sugar items. Its really tough living with diabetes. I cant get my drivers license until I’m 18 years old. I will never be able to get my pilots license, which is my dream. I love airplanes, I love flying free in the air. But thanks to diabetes I will never get to do my life long dream. So now my dream is to help find a cure for diabetes, so I’m donating my Firebird to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). I know my dad will be proud of me, and thats all I want is to make him happy.
Thanks for listening,
James Dean

im from a little town called hoquiam in washington state, and i drive a 95 ls integra. I go racing just about every weekend that i can, and about a month and a half ago my tach quite working, we cant figure out why, so its been kindof hard to launch my car without a tach, i just guess what im reving at, and down the track i just go by the speedo, hoping that i dont hit rev-limiter, so that tach would really help me out, cause i work at mcds, and live paycheck to paycheck, with no extra money to dump into my car:(, im also looking for a vtec head if u know where i can get one of those so i can do lsvtec.

I have been trying to teach my wife to drive manual. She is hard of hearing, But she says that she can feel the vibration as to when to change. I have a 1997 miata. But I dont think so. So with the light I think that she would be a lot better at it. I have had to put in a new gear box twice. She doesn’t know this.

I have a 98 chevy metro. Not many people look at a metro and think it can someday be a tuner, but I have faith, and determination. The sad thing about my car is that it didn’t even come with a tack rpm guage at all when it came out of the factory. It seriously just comes with the Speedometer, gas, and temp gauge. A tack guage would be a God send for my car. Its sad my car didn’t come with a stock rpm guage.

Ok so there may be some guys on here whove got it don but I own a mid eighties Toyot a Cressida. With a heinous digital dash.Unfortunately the fuel guage and the speedo and tach are kaput so I am left with virtually no instrumentation and a jerry can in my trunk until i can source out an analog dash for my car. This has left me with a mountain of speeding tickets and me looking like an idiot who ran out of gas on the side of the highway. At least knowing what my revs are at would be incredible. And well I already have a jerry can for gas hehe.

Its a sad day when your friends roll up in mustangs turbocharged, spending over 10k. Its even sadder to say that i work in a trailer park in what is the worst part of the city, making a low wage. I picked up an 1982 Mazda Rx7 almost 2 weeks ago from what most would label the graveyard, due to my low funds, i’m doing everything myself which is awesome and a great learning experience, but sadly doesn’t leave alot of money for anything, some such as a tach would greatly help as i would be able to spend money on replacing the passenger door which i can stick my hand in between from the bottom, versus spending my money on the awesome and on the much need tach. Although i believe my “sob” sorry may not win, when i look at the extremity of my problem with my car, i can honestly look to others and say just wait, im coming, and soon you’ll see me flying.

well i could give you a good sob story , but that would be depressing , i just wanted to say ,thats really cool what your doing ,i know i could have sure used it a few months ago . i work 35 miles from home so travel every week day , so that eats up my extra dollars for odds and ends, but i got smart and started to save my canadian tire money from fill ups and i just got my new eqquis tach, its the smaller one with out the light but it does the job.now i keep trying to save up for a new carb , doesn’t seem to be going very well , oh well maybe next year..that tach would look good on the steering column of my 70 torino gt , but i don’t really need it.give it to some who could use it ..thanks Rob..my car is on car domain its lloyd70torinogt.its orange ..

Okay, so i feel that i need this tach because if you look tomorrow (the 7th) at my page, i don’t currently have a tach in my gauges, however what i do have is a very recently (today) modified gauge cluster, that i made all myself, and i feel that it will set the cluster off perfectly, I’ve actually already chosen the spot that i want to place a tach, and this is just crazy good timing, because i’m wanting to get one. As you can see my gauges are white background with some funky font “chiller” and i just finished them, there has been over 5 hours spent making them completely custom. Based on the fact that i don’t have a tach, and it would match my personally modified gauges perfectly, you should give that tach to me as i am the most worthy and it will go to good use, and did i mention that it will not be forgotten where i got the tach from? http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2635138

Alright here is my story im 17 and bought this truck almost 2 years ago now and have been working on it forever and i am always working to make things better. I work at a bad paying job cause i am so young. Recently i was driving on the highway and my truck doesnt want to go into gear so i got it towed home and pulled the tranny and clutch out. I did not like what i saw this problem costs more than i can afford so it has been sittin for a month in my garage in that time i have been adding details to the interior and i think this tach would fit in perfectly on the dash seeing as i dont even have one anywere in the vehicle. You guys are awsome to give this prize away to one lucky winner!!!

hey buddy i know i dont have a shot at this but ill still try. Well i have 1989 iroc that i’ve searched for 4 years and i finally found one last year at a auction. It didnt have a steering colum, It didnt have a floor, it wasn’t running,no shocks, no nothing. Only thing this car had was a good interior. There were atlest 10-15 people bidding on this car that day and my wining bid was 3800 dollers without taxes. I wasn’t gonna let this car go after looking for 4 years. Nobody in my family wanted me to get this car cause they think its a peace of junk and its caused nothing but fights, but i love this car and im never selling it. I’ve spent alot of money on the car since i got it and this week it’s going for paint too. I want this car to get the respect it deserves. So it would really help me out if i got something free lol because its costing me another $2000 for paint. I love this car more then anything so lets put a iEquus Shift Light Tachometer in it and make it look a lil bit better.

Well I’m new to this tuning business and I’m only 18 years old… I’ve got a small Geo Metro I’m trying to tune up… The cluster doesn’t have a stock tach… Nothing in life is free… But I’ll jump at any chance I can get… I know you’ll hear many people’s sob stories. Heck! Mine own for one… But I just thought I’d try it out and hope for the best… I’m not either much of a good listener… I have no idea where my shift points are and I feel as if I’m over-reving my engine… I payed enough on this little “starter car” and don’t want to blow the engine on my first car then have to buy a new used car at more then I payed for this one… This car I was hoping would last me my entire semester to learn automotive repair… But I guess that’s what owning a car is eh? “A learning experience”… Oh well… I’m crossing my fingers and hoping for the best…

I am a poor college student so this project is taking forever anyways, but any help from anyone is greatly appreciated, whether it be words of advice, or free stuff(free stuff always helps quite a bit), i need anything useful!!

I need the tach because my turbo will be installed tomorrow, and the tach I installed in my otherwise tachless yaris broke! There was no manufacturer defect, though, I don’t think it was designed to handle my system =). Once I got a bit more power, even though it was only for 1 day, the tach said it was just too much bass!
I really need a new one! It now says I idle around 2000 RPM and redline around 5000, even worse is that its not consistent! I can’t imagine driving the car hard under boost without at least a tach! The car comes with a speedometer, and says how much gas is in the tank, I really need some functional guages before I blow something up!
Check out page 2 of my cardomain site, the vid is posted up there – before (800 watts) and after (1600 watts).

Hi Rob
I have a five speed manual 07 TOYOTA Yaris, http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2473131/1 and the car doesnt have a tachometer period, this is also my first munual gear box ride, i have to hear the engine noise to drive, i wish i could have a tachomemeter every day and night, i dont know what are the good ones to get and how to install it, if i ever have a tachomemter in my five speed, i would be so happy and i won’t need to hear my engine noise anymore, i could also tell when is the best time to shift and when the worst time to shift.
Thank you for reading my store Rob.

Alright. So basically, I’ve been driving my truck since Christmas with no tranny fluid in it. First the torque convertor leaked, then the gasket on the tranny started leaking. When you drop out after your junior year in highschool and you’re working on your cousin’s farm 60 hours a week to try and pay for insurance, well, tranny fluid becomes less of a priority than it ususally would.
So finally I bite the bullet and cough up the $70 (Canadian, mind you) for a new gasket and a 10L jug of transmission fluid. I’ve never changed a gasket on a tranny pan before but I figure that it’s gotta be easy as hell, right? Yes, ‘right’. Well unfortunately, in my case, everything that could’ve gone wrong, went wrong.
Where to begin? Okay, I got rust and shit in my eye twice while laying under the truck, I cut my thumb open trying to get one of the pan bolts off, I over-filled it with tranny fluid and didn’t realize it until there was a LAKE of the shit underneath my truck. When I went to clean that up, I realized that there was fluid dripping out of the pan like crazy, so I crawled under the truck (while it was running, mind you) to tighten all the bolts, and in the process, burnt my hand on a hot exhaust pipe. While I was tightening the bolts, transmission fluid was dripping in my eyes, and also soaked my face, back and hair. *Editor’s Note: Transmission fluid makes GREAT hair gel.
So, when I finally crawled out from under the truck, I realized that the gasket was still leaking. This caused me to grab the garden hose and throw it on the roof in anger. Then I grabbed a roll of paper towels and threw it on the street. Then I began punching random things. This also hurt my hand.
I finally decided to think logically about it the next morning (when half the $35 fluid had leaked onto my driveway) and got out my torque wrench and tightened the bolts on the pan to spec. That stopped the gasket from leaking but now there is tranny fluid leaking from somewhere higher up at the front of the truck. I have no idea what it’s coming from. As I type this, I am getting ready to go find out.
So there’s my sad SOB story, and getting a brand new tach for a truck that really doesn’t need it would cheer me up somethin fierce:)

Ok Let Me Try This Again
THis Car Is My Life… Im not trying to be like all the others in this contest, i just want you to know why this meens so much to me. My father is a cop and has been since i was 3, and he hates his job. My moms a nerse and her boss is dumber than god knows so she vary rarily gets her checks on time, usually up to a full week later than she’s supposed to. Im the youngest out of 4 children 2 brothers and a sister. all my life iv watched my family go from the poorest people iv ever met to striving then back to the dumps. being the youngest iv kinda gotten the raw end of this deal.
Well.. Im 17 years old and i live in PODUNK Kansas ,all my life ive wanted to race cars… well in 2003 that dream ended, My Family and i were at my grandparents house for the weekend,(this is in a big city) well we were getting ready to leave and we headed out. Stoped at a red light we waited, Finally the light turned green so dad stomped on it to get us across, then in the blink of an eye BOOM! as the car was spinning well over 360degrees my fauther, mother, and i started cussing, but all i could here was my sister (who was about 18 or so at the time) balling because the car that ran the red light hit right where she was, that Person hit us at about 70 mph! the speed limit was 40mph. well when my sister went into the docs they said that here right arm would never be the same again, after 15 surgerys and a good $20000-$25000 bucks later she still aint the same. i found me a wrecked 1997 montecarlo for 500$ and come to find out its gonna be 800 dollers to fix the rack and pinion. now adays the Werthmann family dosent know what money is. we havent had enough since that happend…. All i want to do is fix up this car and do what iv allways dreamed about… So i hope that this sob story has touched your life because everything in it has skrewed up mine..

Ok.. so I can start with everything that has happened and is still going on in my life but I’m just going to keep it simple. I’m never fortunate enough to win stuff. I work really hard for my money and yet I never get to use it for me. I started working when I was 16 and for the past 10 years I’ve had to pay for my car, for my college tuition, the mortgage, insurance, loans, and whatever else my parents need. When I did get enough money to do something I spent it on my family because well, family is family whether it’s relatives or friends, it just feels good to see the people you care about smile. My mom has got to be one of the nicest people I know and she is respected by everyone but unfortunately, she’s always on medication and at the doctors..I wish she could just be ok.. I figured it would be nice to get her new furniture… anyways, my parents didn’t save up for my sisters wedding so now I am working on saving for that. I have till August and I need to make atleast $25,000 and that’s a low estimate.. I’m barely even half way there.. All the work on my car was done by myself for the most part and done over a long time.. and most accessories were put in when the originals parts went bad.. if you gotta fix it, fix it with something better. I’ve been wanting to get a tach but won’t be able to even think about it till sometime next year.. it would be nice to win for a change.. to get something rather then always give.. thanks 4 listenin. I hope who ever deserves it the most gets it.. if that’s me.. that wud be cool.. laterzz

All i want to do is fix up this car and do what iv allways dreamed about… So i hope that this sob story has touched your life because everything in it has skrewed up mine..

well i dont know if this is much of a sob story but i have recently purchased a 1987 toyota supra turbo a few months ago and have been trying hard to save up money for some parts for my vehicle but now i feel it is a little hard for me to do so since i am in 10th grade and have nothing but homework to do and do not have a job yet and the first thing i was planning to buy for my vehicle when i got the money was an aftermarket tachometer for my vehicle cause that is all i need for my vehicle for a while and id be satisfied for a while until i am able to get the money for a new paintjob cause mine at the time is horrible with primer spots haha well thats my sob stroy not sure if it qualifies as one.

Okay here is my sob story. Was driving to scar in my civic on the 401 with my wife following me had the car going 180km/h. We were on our way to get furniture out of my grandmothers house cause she just sold it and went to live in a nursing home. So i was going about a 180 and i decided to let it off a bit so my wife could catch up. All of a sudden I have no power stepping on the gas and natta. Coast to a stop on the highway shes behind me asking me what the hell. I don’t know car just died. Call a tow truck and her friend refers us to this crap hole garage. Get a tow and the guy took one look at my car and said if i leave that outside over the weekend it will be stripped clean. I’m thinking wonderful. So he puts it in his garage.Which is an hour from where I live. He has the car a week and a half, tells me the cars ready come and get it tomorrow at 1pm. I leave work early the next day and get my wife outta school to drive me there. We get there and no ones around at all. Look in the window and the car was still in there taken apart. We wait 3 hrs and the guy doesn’t show up. Oh he said he had to replace my fuel pump. 500 bucks. I get a hold of him the following day he tells me to come and get the car on sat but it won’t run still. So we rent a 2 wheel car dolly from u-haul and go down there to tow it home with the van. I pay him his 500 for the fuel pump and we push it up the dolly and end up destroying my bodykit bumper and my front neon light. we tow it home and i try everything to get the damn thing running. Had spark and fuel. Pulled about 250ml of gas outta my intake manifold it ended up being the rotor in the disturbutor melted which was causing my plugs to fire at the wrong time and it was a 5 dollar part. Then my cat went broke apart due to gas in my exhaust (from the engine being flooded) Can i find anyplace in town to fix it NO. Every place i went to said your car is to low and we won’t work on it. Finally i found a place to get it done. Don’t trust your friends for referells to garages it ended up costing a fortune for a 5 dollar part.

I could use this because I became a paralized from the waist down because of a faulty Tach in my Honda. My hospital bill has taken all of my money, and now I can’t even fix my car. I could really, really use this. My whole life is cars and now I may not even be able to work on them anymore. It could help me get back into the sport I love and have dedicated my life to.

My buddy and I where at a stop light in the middle of no where in his S-10 that has a SB 350 in it and no speedo, when a cop pulled up behind us. We start tweaking out because there is no traffic to gauge our speed buy and the cop was one of the ones who was notorious for being an A-hole. So while we where freaking out the light turns green and we didn’t notice it and the cops back there honking at us. In a moment of confused terror at the thaught of certain doom, not to mention a traffic ticket, my buddy gasses it too hard and spins the tires on a nice patch of gravel that, of course, sprays onto the cop’s hood. Amazingly he didn’t turn his lights on so we drove on towards a section of s-turns further up the road. As we got about half way through the turns we look back and didn’t see the cop, we thaught to ourselves “hmmm… he must have turned and we continue on our way. The road turned straight and level just after the s-turns and the cop is still out of sight. Thinking that the danger is past we kicked the speed up a notch only to see red and blue coming round the last corner.
So to make a long story short we got hit with a ticket, 60 in a 45, a fine and a lecture from the pissed off cop. He told us that the next time he saw us in the truck he’d pull us over to make sure we had gotten a new speedo. So insted of getting one my buddy parked the truck.
Could we have the tach so we at least have HALF and idea of how fast we’re going?

My 87 Hachi Roku has a rev limit of 8800 rpm which isnt covered by the stock tac, that in combination with trying to teach my wife to shift a new tac with shift light could be the only thing saving my engine and my transmission.

i don’t personally need the tac, but i have a friend who has a honda civic and they don’t come with tacs as u know. well he is afraid to push the car to far because he is some what new to the whole driving a stick and he can’t aford a tac so i know that he could really use this tac. being afraid of pushing it he has been to some races and has a really hard time. so i know he needs it for sure.

I’ve been looking into getting a tach for my 1982 Chevy C10. I’m currently putting a 440 out of a 1975 Chrysler Imperial in for a power plant. I’ve got HP exhaust manifolds, a slight performance cam from mopar, and all sorts of good mopar goodies. the way I see it, people put small block chevy’s in everything else so I would be different and put a Mopar in a Chevy. I have a 727 auto and an 833 o/d 4 speed and I cant decide which to put in. Either way, i’m making a center consol that will hold the shifter, guages and a tach if I could afford it. I really like the look of the Equus guages, but i could not decide what place was the best to buy it from. It’s not really a sob story, but am in need of a good tach. Thanks.

well i figure its always worth a chance. i haven’t won one of these contests, the caption contests, or hell i can’t even guess right on the bullrun contest. my luck is pretty bad.
anyway heres the story on my car. i bought my car just less than 2 years ago. its a 92 saturn sc2, and i paid $800 cash for it. within 4 months of owning the car, the timing chain tensioner gave out and destoyed the engine. so i had to put a new motor in the car. while it was in the shop, they told me that my radiator was busted also, and that i had a bad motor mount. the total bill for this visit was almost $2,900. and sadly i am still paying for this charge on my credit card. shortly after that my egr valve that came with the engine, went bad. so the shop just took the old one from the old engine and put it on. the labor for that was still $62.
within these 2 years of ownership i hae also replaced the shifter cables twice. at $350 a pop its getting expensive. and its not that i’m shifting hard or anything, the shop tells me that i have a broken tranny mount. so eventually i need to replace that.
my clutch has also wore out, just this past december. the clutch repair was almost $800. only 3 weeks after that repair my water pump went out. that was a $200 repair. the very next day from getting my car out of the shop from doing the water pump. my car won’t start anymore. the shop tells me that after doing the water pump, the engine built up pressure and blew the head gasket and warped the head. heres my problem: the motor that i bought is still under the 2 year warranty that i got when i bought it. but the shop and supposedly their supplier is giving my trouble with it and denying the warranty claim because the water pump went out and they say that that is why the car overheated and blew the head. to get another engine and repair my car it will cost roughly $1,500. so since january of 2007 my car is still just sitting there waiting for me to save up enough money to get my car running again.
i have many plans for modding my car, but so far the only thing that i have managed to buy was a really nice headunit. but with so many repairs coming up all the time, i can’t get forward on what i really want to do with my car. anyway thats pretty much my story. alot of bad luck, repairs, and no break to start modding. thank you for reading my story.

My name’s Chris and I own an 1986 Pontiac Fiero. My tach broke the other day and I need to make sure I don’t rev my engine up too high or else my Fiero might catch on fire like they’re famous for… then it would lead to people inhaling the toxic fumes as the plastic burns. I would imagine those fumes are carcinogenic. The world already has to deal with enough tragic cases of disease. This tachometer will actually prevent disease and suffering.

I want it BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The reason is that i don’t have a tach and my car has a manual shift valve body. so i need to know when to shift so i can get my best E.T. I can’t afford one right now cuz i spent all my money on wheels and exhaust. i’m only 17 so i have a limited income i would greatly apprectate this tach for my AMC Javelin. i will also do what ever you want for it, i can advertise this site with a cool tattoo or bumper sticker or “T” shirt or have cardomain.com shaved in my hair or i can just use it in all my sentences like “hi there, how are you, cardomain” or ” whats up how about that cardomain” thats right i can do all that for just 19.95 or a free tach.
PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m a 16 year old, just turning 17 in a month, so that would mean I can get my full license in June.
I’ve had my 86 pulsar for two years, and have only gotten to drive it three months. When I first got the car I was 15 and couldn’t legally drive it until I was 16. The car had carburetor troubles and you had to always pump the gas pedal to the floor and back every two seconds to keep the motor from stalling out. After rebuilding the carburetor 7 times trying to get it tuned right, it finally ran great, but it still wouldn’t idle. So it was summertime and I got it out of my school’s shop for 3 months during the summer and drove it around. Last october I decided to rebuild the engine out of my savings, with no job whatsoever, and no girlfriend. It has taken from October to May, 7 months, and I almost have the car ready to start, with a new camshaft, a set of headers designed by myself, a 2″ exhaust system, and after I break it in, on goes on a weber 32/36 dgav in place of the crappy hitachi carburetor that came with it. Within a few weeks I should be finished bending the pipe for my exhaust system, and since my savings account has been drained, I will have no money for insurance when I get my full drivers license.
I have started a job at the end of april and only get to work saturdays. This tachometer would be a great addition to this project car, because during the summer I will be swapping in a standard transmission into this car, which only had 69HP stock. With my rebuild, I may well almost break into the 100 HP mark. Without a tach, I may over rev the engine, because it is still underpowered for what this car should be.

i own a 1995 camaro. It is my first car and it means a lot to me. Every since I was a little kid I wanted an fbody. I went from loving firebirds to camaors daily, but i knew i wanted one of them. I really wanted either the Formula, z28 or trans am, but since im in high school and my Walgreens job does not exactly pay six figures I settled for the V6(still an amazing car). I baby my car and I dont cut her lose every 2 seconds, but I have this rival thing going with this guy named Luis, Luis has a 3.9L V6 manual with a fair amount of goodies(intake, exhaust, functional ram air and a shift light…a few other minor things as well) mines a 5 speed but this is my first car and I never drove stick before. So when we race on his piece of land it comes down to take off and shifting. His car is faster than mine, but i just received my intake and I am hopefully getting exhaust over the weekend or soon. But i can never semm to shift when i need to. I usually get anxious and short shift and i occasionally over rev and he pulls ahead. It is embarrassing because people always watch including my g/f and he always makes a point to rub his victory in. I drove his car four times and the shift light works wonders. I am broke right now and I cant afford to buy all the things I would want for my car thanks to high insurance and the prices of gas. I would really appreciate this tachometer. I know other people may be asking for it as well, but i am tired of losing…its no fun,
thank you for the opportunity to hopefully win a cool gadget.

I’m 18 I own a 68 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight and have a 1974 Oldsmobile Cutlass, I just swapped a 75 Oldsmobile 455 into the cutlass.. alot of people know that the Olds 455 isnt a high reving engine period and infact any period of high reving a olds can result in a seized engine (just ask my old olds 350).. Oldsmobile’s oil return system on there motors is very poor.. I do plan to street/strip the cutlass and I’m not saying feel sorry for me.. or I’m the most needy.. But I’ll put that tach to good use =) Thanks for your time.

I’m 20 years old and drive a ‘66 mustang. I’ve been working on my car for a couple years trying to get everything fixed. Every time I fix something, something else breaks. I have about $1500 in damage to the rear-end to repair, and I don’t even have AC in the car. A new air conditioning system costs $900+ and over $400 to install. If you’ve never been to Las Vegas, it gets around 115 in the middle of summer. Without AC, sitting at a stop light for more than 15 seconds makes you drip with sweat. Unfortunately since I have so many things I need to fix and put in, I don’t have the money for a tach for my car, which did not come with one. Only the rally pac mustangs came with them, which is unfortunate for me and my budget.

Well im a 17 year old kid who has a 1990 Ford Mustang with NO job and is getting difficult for me to get a job because of school, i also have a very sick grandmother who is in the hospital and is dying slowly and i try to help her out as much as i can while she still lives and trying to make life happier for her, and takes away time from working on my own car, but i feel happier and better about myself helping her and making her life worthwhile when im with her, i love my grandma very much and would be very upset to see her go, so im building my car as a tribute to her…

I own a 2001 Mustang and am going to be tuning it soon with a computer chip from Superchips and I’ve read from other users on this site that you can adjust the rev-limiter on the RPM’s with the tuner. If this is the case, having a new tach that I can custom tune to where the light will flash at the proper engine speed, rather than going off the now useless dash tach, will help ensure I don’t redline past the point of catastrophe. Plus it will give the inside of my Mustang more of a race look to it. Thanks for the opportunity.

I sliced my finger pretty deep with a razor blade yesterday. One of the brake light wires had a short and melted. Its no fun when you’re coming home from work and smoke starts coming from under the steering column. I had to pull into the closest parking lot to locate and replace about 6 inches of wire with only a pair of needlenose pliers, a razor blade, and some scrap wire. The blade slipped and got me pretty good. The fix was good enough to get me home so I could repair it completely. Not the saddest story but hey, that tach would look damn good with the rest of my interior.

I’m new to cardomain and I have only has my car for about 8 months. After 3 months of owning the car I have had 2 accidents. First one was in a Wal-Mart parking lot when some jerk side swiped my driver side and then took off. The second on was when I was t-boned by a truck in a busy intersection because he wanted in my lane and I wouldn’t move into the turning lane to let him over. After about7 months the mechanic I was having work on her, who was also my boyfriend, left after I had to spend the $1000 I did save up so he could make track runs with my car. When he did leave, he tried to completly total my car. He stole the car and tried to force it over a hill into the creek. Fortunately, the cops apprehended him before he could. I’m a graphic design student, graduated from high school and I work at McDonald’s. After paying bills, rent, and gas money (3.09 a gallon) I don’t have much money left for repairs to my car. The only reason I even have what is on my car right is because I do paint jobs for other tuner enthusiasts. http://www.cardomain.com/2636458/1 This is my little Alero, and my aspiring Laser.
