Nine Pounds Light
Posted by: David GRM Editorial Director |
Many of us would love to lose a few pounds. Nine would be a nice start. However, you don’t want your tires to be nine pounds light.
We have a new folding-hardtop Miata here at the office this week. Nice car. However, it just felt funny. Give it a little gas, and the nose would swing to the right. Let off the gas, and the nose would then track straight.
Turns out the right-rear tire was down 9 psi. It looked fine, but my gauge said otherwise. The moral here is that you should regularly check your tires. Never mind being stranded by a flat, just having one low tire can cause all kinds of weirdness.
