Apparently, driving on the regular Bullrun just isn’t enough for some people. Details are still sketchy at this point, but Richard Rawlings and Dennis Collonis have apparently broken the record for driving from New York to LA. Their official time wasn’t posted on the Bullrun website, but the previous record was a scant 32 hours and 51 minutes, so they had to be hauling serious ass to break it. Congrats guys!

We’re hoping to get an update from Mr. Angry after today’s leg, so check back for more news from the Bullrun.

Total Est. Time: 41 hours, 43 minutes
Total Est. Distance: 2812.74 miles

Whatever the numbers. That average speed in the high 80s must put them in the mid 100′s mph for many miles. one stop for 5 minutes can throw that average off for miles. (I dabbled with this stuff “ridin shotgun” in a tractor trailer up and down the east coast.) I went from maine to new jersey in one shot in a 37mpg loyale. To see i got 70mph average after knowing what I was really doing on the open road.. only verifies the f550 was really hualin ass when they could. Not to mention its a gas hog. Holy crap.

They posted the time in the title. An amazing 31hrs 59 min. What is the average speed? Well google maps says it is 2,776 miles. Divide that by 32 hours and I get 86.75 MPH average.
