That’s the last thing the car needs. Huh, 22″ wheels…
But that’s my opinion. Restore it to factory condition and call it done.

whats the point? why bury the car and not seal it up…the thing is a piece of shit now. they would have been better off parking it in the mayor’s ass than spending the towns money to dig the hole.

All I can say is that I think the car has potential, its not any worse than some of these junk yard finds out there. For the most part its like a deep fried chicken like the other Dave said. Scrape the “breading” off of it and it’ll probably be pretty solid. Just look that the chrome shine on that bumper.

Someone wins this car? Wow lucky guy. The interior looks terrible. Like it’s been deep fried or something.

…And that concludes today’s lesson on how to make car stew. Grab a plate.

Did Joe think it was “F’d Up Beyond All Recognition” or “F’d Up Beyond All Restoration”?

It looks like not much rust at all! except for the poor interior. Well before any media balsting i would get all of the debri/ coating of whatever is on there off…time and patience and you will have a very nice body to work with.

Page past the contents of the time capsule. The body actually looks like it might clean up some, but the engine and especially the interior are trashed.
Take a look at the shiny spot on the front bumper.
It’s a shame it didn’t turn out better.

Wow what a great Television project, oh, some of the guys I saw on Pipes, the ones that are so organized they can redo the whole car on Television then it can be auctioned off. Just thinking in print.

I watched the streaming video of the event. My only complaint was all the commercial breaks. But I was watching for free so there’s the trade-off. Anyways absolutely beautiful car. Back when cars and trucks had style -and- class. I hope the person who wins the car either treats it right or gives it up to the Tulsa Historical Society. Just one question. Tranquilizers?

Man I have been waiting to see what the interior and motor looked like. Pretty much what I figured fubar. You would think they would have put a little more into the process of sealing the car up…
Great follow-up…
