this are my stats in GT4 for these two cars, (I know it's not the same, but is fun to know)

..........................HP ...1/4mile ....top speed
Aston Martin V8 Vantage ..871 ..13.304 .....226
Jaguar XKR R-performance .642 ..11.331 .....219

Overall, Jaguar runs faster at the start, but the Vantage catches up at higher gears. So they run about the same.
Unlike the video above where the Vantage has no chance whatsoever.

1 vote for Aston Martin. Don't like the exterior of Jaguar!

This vid's revelation is age old. Cars do not need the noise to be very very powerful. Nice music by mogwai (intense modern instrumentals!). It reminded me of a whisper quiet 10 ton 1976 oldsmobile delta 88 2 door with a 455 (some extras) on a smaller scale of course. Imagine if you will, the sound of a faint whistle off in the distance, the sound of air, just air, no engine. and seeing a 10 ton oldsmobile go by doing beyond its odometers speed limit(130s?). I have always assumed loudness is for spectators, not the engine, not the actual race car or driver.Learned it in the 70s as a 5 year old.Th nopise and hype is Just for clowns, and crazy fan clubs. I like the newer jag (to get to my babbling point)
