This Just In: New on the Net

GM and Ford have decided that it’s still the Fourth of July. I explained this to my boss, but he’s still making me work today. The joke’s on him, this is what I’ve been reading all morning:
- The smart car showed up in Detroit today. A word of caution for smart drivers: watch out for all those Escalades, Expeditions, and H2s: DetNews
- The guys at Leftlane News have spy shots of the upcoming Porsche sedan. I’m not sold on the rear end, but the front is just as sexy as you’d expect from Porsche: Leftlane News
- What does it mean for future Civic owners that Honda’s F1 team just hired a new designer from BMW: BBC Sport
- Ford is going to try to break the land speed record using hydrogen power and an engine designed by OSU students. If they can pull it off, I’ll take back everything I said about the Buckeyes after they got killed in the BCS game this January: Ford

Maybe I’m missing something but what the heck is a hitch (if you can even call it that) doing on a Porsche?! Beautiful nonetheless!

nice fond for the prsche! found a different photo here: http://www.cartype.com/page.cfm?id=772
A 4.5 liter v8 (I hate the flat six religously), still lightweight, too much back end to make it look like a wrx, and mature aero. That could be the sexiest prosche since the 912 with a real boxer….
