This Just In: New on the Net

Damnit! My boss actually came in to the office today, canceling my planned brunch/happy hour(s). Back to furrowing my brow and reading stuff on the interweb:

  • McLaren is in the clear on charges of F1 espionage. That means Hamilton and Alonso are free to continue the best intra-team rivalry in motorsports. Ferrari is a little miffed: Auto Express News
  • Car and Driver has an in-depth look at where Cadillac is headed with its lineup. It looks like Caddy will have more going for it than rap, rock, and sports starts: Car and Driver
  • Wow, MIT is developing some kind of cool advance for internal combustion engines and I have no idea how it works or what all the fuss is about. Will someone explain this to me? Jalopnik
  • Ford shocked everyone, including its employees, by posting a profit for the second quarter. CEO Alan Mulally assured shareholders that the company would not make the same mistake again this year: DetNews
  • Zut Alors! ‘Roided up bikers aren’t the only hazard for news crews covering the Toud de France: Reuters via Winding Road
  • Now everyone is piling on the fuel economy debate. I was bored with it before, now I’m annoyed: Freep

Too Much Dope in the Tank?

Reuters:

If you could just go back and cycle those last 20 miles so we can capture it again, that would be great…..
