Think Outside the Burn Out
By John
Community Editor
Every couple of months, I get an insane Taco Bell craving that won’t go away until I go and down a bunch of Mexi-Melts. But to be honest, I never really thought of the trays they’re served on as much more than, well, trays. But the dude in this video is way ahead of me, check out how he’s re-purposed them!

Me and my friends were doing something similar to this. My bud was doing a burnout on wet pavement and we were throwing small 1×1 foot pieces of plywood between the tires and the ground so it would launch them. That was awsome, but probrobly not the safest thing to do. XD
Also to all of you old guys who keep saying “Its stupid” or “it’s a waste of time and tires”, SHUT THE HELL UP. It’s his car let him do with it as he pleases. IT’s not like doing a burnout is going to take half of the tread off, geez. So he loses a few hundred miles off the life of his tires, so what, at least He’s not doing drugs or shooting someone. Maybe if you had done some fun stuff when you were in highschool, you wouldn’t spend your time in front of the computer complaining about stuff other people do.

Its just fun no complaining necessary. I however need to know and understand how just because someone doesn’t care for front wheel performance or “Donks” or whatever other names they conjure up for these unique automobiles they are assumed to be “HATERS”. Sounds to me like you have a self esteem issue. Grow up a little bit and express your opinions without automatically assuming just because they think different from you that they are haters. You seem to be the ones with a prejudicial hate, ready to classify others.
Sincerely,
Old enough to know better

Love or hate what this kid does with his car, who really cares ? I have no problem with someone burnin’ their tires off no matter how they start the smoke flyin’. Go out and have fun. I however do believe that these people using the word “hater” to describe people for just having an opinion of their own is really ignorant. Just because some people don’t care for “donks” or front wheel drive cars do not make them “haters” it just makes them different from you. Get some some self esteem and get a life.

I have never owned a front wheel drive car… I would rather drive a golf cart.
We used to put Crisco on our tires to create smokey bacon burnouts with low power rear drive cars back in the 70s.

To all you people that say this is old, I say no way! This is new! I’ve never heard or seen this before and I’m 30 yrs. old! If you want to insist that this is old then I say prove it by telling me something else to do with your car that I’ve never heard of before…. if you can do that, then I’ll admit you were right and eat my words! Pfft… whatever u can’t come up with anything…

Wow, you have a long list of haters. I own a 97 accord myself, and what’s wrong with him having fun, while giving the rear tires minimal tread loss. Not everybody can afford a rear wheel drive muscle car, nor the gas or maintanence that some other cars take. Have fun with your honda man, these cars last. All that matters is if you’re happy with your ride. I know I am.

I NZ We use bread trays, the ones the bread comes in at the supermarket, coz they last longer and there not as high as mile crates.
Have fun dude

Horsepower and torque aren’t going to help my back tires spin. And since I don’t have rear wheel drive, I’m gonna slap some trays on those back tires and have some fun.

Sam, I totally agree with you. Being in Highschool myself, I don’t really have time to work alot to do stuff to my truck, so I have to get by with what I can get/ do for cheap. That does not include in any way buying things to make it go faster or grow taller. That wouldn’t work on my truck, but if I had a front drive, I would probably be doing that .

This would work better with those rolling things they use for…well, I don’t remember. Just a square piece of wood with four wheels on it. Provided they were sturdy enough.

to all the mid 20’s guys out there working 80-hour weeks to pay for the crazy shit you do to your cars: this guy is probably in highschool. & as a highschooler, i can tell you that we don’t have time between school & a healthy social life to buy incredibly nice things. so we have average cars. so what i’m really getting at here is this–stop being a dick, & enjoy the video. because i’m pretty sure this guy knew when he bought his car that it wasn’t a 72 nova or an srt-4. he’s having as much fun as he can with a low-performance car. why can’t you accept that?

….and so then I decided to go ahead and click the play button and was really expecting this to be very exciting and captivating.
Instead, it was a lame, unexciting, pointless and boring video.
So, in order to keep my eyes open, I decided to close it, but then as I was about to turn it off….it got
MORE BORING!!! Yes, not just one star of boring, not 2 stars of boring, but a full scale 5 star boring!
To maintain oxygen to my brain, I then decided …….

Back when I was in high school, we did that with milk crates (because they were thicker and lasted longer). I remember a friend of mine with a hopped-up turbo GTI doing some of the fastest burnouts I’ve ever seen in my life. LOL
