My Favorite Car Commercial. Ever.

Most of the time, commercials are the best part about watching the tube—and there aren’t many which compare with this one. I’ve only seen this broadcast once, but I remember being blown away by its emotive power, so much so that I told all my friends about how awesome it was. In all fairness, I’ve always named my vehicles, thanked them after long trips and generally regarded them as big, metal people, so I’m particularly vulnerable to the personification element present here. But even if you don’t do any of those things, you have to be pretty heartless not to be effected by this spot. You sure can do a lot with 60 seconds…

Its a nice concept, makes me feel sad for the cars I’ve put to pasture. Metal is a recycleable so they came back as 50 hondas.

Yes. A commercial that can create a sense of empathy for a car/make I’m not even thrilled about?
yeah. It’s a well-done commercial.
