Fast and Furious 4 Rumors!

By Rob

Editor-in-Chief

Got some fresh rumors for you Fast and Furious fans. According to the guys at NewHemiTech, the next installment will again revolve around drifting, with American muscle going head to head against some of the JDM favorites. Word has it that the central cars will be the new Camaro and the upcoming Skyline R35 GTR. The cast of cars will also include a S197 Mustang and the current Dodge Charger, each heavily modfied by American Car Products in Whittier, CA. NewHemiTech claims the Mustang below will be in the movie, and they also have photos of the Charger. Oh, and apparently Vin Diesel is coming back… Time will tell if these rumors pan out…

I have read the entire official screenplay because my brother in law is up for a part in the movie. I can tell u the main cars right now. Vin diesel drives a black with red stripes 1970 chevelle until the end of the movie when he brings his charger back. Brian(paul walker) drives a 98 Skyline GTR. When his car gets wrecked he steals an EVO. Letty (before she’s killed off) drives an 09′ Dodge Demon.(concept at this point) Han is back for a little bit and drives an el camino when they steal a gas tanker. Other smaller featured cars are a 90’s fairlady Z, honda civics, integras, and old GTO. It is kind of a muscle vs. import movie, having most races see half and half. i won’t give away the ending but i can tell u this movie is gonna be alot better than all the others with some siiick cars.

I like the battle betwen American Muscle and the plastic machines.
I like to see some muscle (no Yenko, no Challenger, no Charger, no Mustang GT, no Chevelle SS). I don`t know. A 70 Boss 429 in yellow, a 70 or 71 Hemi Cuda in lime green or a Zl-1 Camaro, or a 68 or 69 Shelby GT-500 427 cu in. Imagine a 70 Boss 429 vs a Nissan in a high speed 1/4 mile or a street race. Or a Hemi Cuda vs Shelby GT-500.
Please no drift. I don`t like see a Muscle in a drift race

Umm… not to try and make anyone feel stupid but it was definately a 68-70 Road Runner(Plymouth)that Vin rolled up in at the end of the movie. No. 1, it doesn’t say “Buick” on the back its “Hammer”. (Not even the same amount of letters) No. 2 I own one that is almost the exact color. Not quite as modified, but the body is all stock…

wow, clearly people are passoinate about their cars, and the thought that just rumors of this movie could cause so much controversy! i loved all of the other movies (2 was a little dissapointng…) as for the rides… i hope to see the dodge challenger, and the new GTR… i doubt to ever see my baby (the 300zx TT)on any of these movies, but i still enjoy the movies! oh, and take it from someone who used to drift, it takes so much control and talent its ridicilious!

Dan , you are ignorant . Wikipedia is information contributed by regular people for the most part, not scholars or professionals. Furthermore drifting is a legitimate sport , very similar to the dirt circle tracks that have been raced on for years . Drag racing is also legitimate, just another form of racing. As far as all the import/muscle bashers go ……each style has it’s own pro’s and cons . While some may talk of “real muscle” being some giant 7 liter plus engine with a giant carb, cool more power to you . But that’s not the end all be all of cars. A lighter car with the same amount of power will win . Not to mention digital ignition and programmable engine management make an engine much easier to manipulate. Muscle cars = sweet . Other cars = sweet . A true car enthusiast will not hate on other styles purely because they are different. Import cars have cons as well, such as peaky powerbands or limited traction inherent with front wheel drives. Good or bad they are still cars . I drive a Mercedes,a car that makes most people car snobs, but I don’t have a problem driving my girlfriend’s Honda or my Dodge . They all have good and bad qualities . It is sad that you are so close minded and ignorant Dan.

As far as the last installment I thought it was extremly unrealistic but it is a movie. It in a way put me in a world that I would have wanted to be in, they did a good job of representing the culture of the aftermarket auto scene. I would imagine the average american muscle head wouldn’t appreciate the movie for what it is, yes unrealistic but it did focus less on the story and more on the machines, maybe not the machines they would respect – which is kind of rediculous. As for the wheres VW? comment there was going to be an R32 in the movie which the hero would have driven in the end instead of that mustang with about 500lbs. of irony under the hood. For reasons that are uncertain VW backed out of the deal :-( It would have been cool to see what wolfsburge could have turned out. Hopfully we will see more euros other than the parked lotus you see chillin in the garage.

i have to say, dan, your an idiot. i bet you live with your mom and go shopping with her. get out on your own and get your ass off wiki. you probably drive some beat up peice of crap. drifting is an art, and it takes alot of skill, and all the machines that drift are built for it, so the only ones that are peices of crap are from the wanna be’s that don’t know shit, and just bag their cars that their daddy got them, probably your buddies. and drag RACING is a race. it takes alot of money, blood, sweat, and tears to tune a car NA, turbocharged, supercharged, nitrous, or whatever to run times that they do. you say its not a race to the wrong person you’ll get your ass kicked. what is a race to you? a 1/4 mile race is all about the right mixtures of torque, hp, weight and driving skill. drifting is all about being able to control your vehicle. I’m not a expert in racing but apparently you have some catching up to do. its a style. maybe not your style. you go race your little sister and her friends on your tricycle around the block tough guy

Drifting takes some skill if you know how to do it right. Racing will always need skill. Both are fun and drag is just a way to show your cars power. For Dan though, it must take him skill with guys in bed more than 14 secs, what a fag.

what i realise while im reading your comments guys is
that the car and race passion is someting that travel the time and generation. Im in the car busness and my customers comming from all mentality:classics, hot rod, muscles, tunners, trucks and track addicted. let me ask you all a question;did you ever work on a project so many hours that you feel like your going to fall on your knees, your head feel like you v been hurt straigt on the face by on of those rubber ball at school and than you finally realise that you’r going to be ready on time for the race or the car show ? the feeling that rising on this moment is more than pride, its being part of the creation of memories that you will keep forever, the sacrifices, the sweat, your family and your friends that whaiting outside of the garage while you try to make this beast come to life. Thats what a call passion, for me it dosent matter what kind of machine your creating as long as you creating.Passions stays over generations, wars, conflicts even death, that what this movie chould be all about.

Bryant…what a tool bag. Way to fuckin read what I wrote dumbass. NO DRIFTING IS NOT RACING its a modified verson of auto-crossing where according to wiki “The driver enduces oversteer” this would roughly translate to “the driver looses control of the vehicle” explain to me why a drifters car is beat to shit? Maybe its becuase they SUCK AT DRIVING?! Thats just a thought.

Also how could I be a ricer when I clearly despise them?

And last but not least: Drag racing is fun…but a race to me lasts longer than 14 seconds…kinda like you in the bed with some chick…ouch…

Hey luke,
The GNX was produced by Buick in 1987 as the keystone of a prestegious line of turbocharged coupes called the Grand National, produced from 1984-1987. These cars were produced in very limited numbers, but were extremely popular due to the turbocharged 3.8L V6 231ci engine that has been noted one of America’s Finest engines. The stock horsepower of a N/A 3.8L was aproximately 165HP, but after many upgrades and factory improvements, the engine would put out Aprox 246HP and run about 12.5s in the 1/4 mile. The last model produced with this turbo engine, the GNX, only had 541 cars made before this chapter of GM’s history faded into obscurity.

Cole. mate its called a GNX, it was/is the fastest street fighter ever. turbocharged V8. i raced it on Forza Motorsports (455 rear tires) and its hardcore quick. just can’t for the life of me remember who made it. Shelby? Ford? GM? think it was GM…not sure. but this is comin from an Australian. i hope they do make a FnF4, and even if it is American Muscle drifting, thats somethin different. i think everyone should shut up and just agree to disagree, we all like cars here, and shouldn’t force opinions on what is good and wat isnt, we drive wat we drive because we want to, or because it isnt viable to drive something else ie: a 4 banger Solara because we have 3 kids and a ‘70 model Challenger is a) too expensive to run and b) hasnt got enough room for 2 kids. grow up fer godsakes..i drive a 96 2wd hilux. i drive it because its a Ute. not because i want to conform and buy a sedan. think about it, it’s appreciation for other peoples rides..not putting them down.

How about mixing it all togather in the 4th f&f, JDM’s, American Muscle, German’s and the SuperCars too like enzo’s,Carrera’s,GT40,911’s and Lambo’s giving leading role to JDMs :P ….. pit them against eachother> drag and drift with a well thought out story line… People dont mind whether it is fantasy or reality the just wana get entertained.. My no 1 is still the f&f 1…PEACE..

Will you give it a rest. Not all Muscel Car Guys are Import Bashers. FYI, American Muscel also hadan influnce on import tuning. They share the same basics. Cold Air intakes, Catback Exhaust and even Bodykits. Most of the things you find on an import car was invented in the USA. So sahow some respect. I like my imports too, but I learned also that people in Japan like our Mustangs and Chargers like we do their Honda Type R and the Most Sacred Nissan Skyline. Not to mention people in the drifting world like to see the American Cars compete with there JDM cars. It all about competetion. If you can respect the competetion and as learn a few thing about it. You have alot to learn About tuning. P.S. An interesting swap that wasd invented in the USA but is greatly Being sougt out in Japan.

Dropping a Chevy V8 in a Nissan Z(Any Generation) or a Mazda RX-7. Even SuperStreet, Import Tuner, as well a Several Japanese Sold Car magazines has given props to this swap. Think about it.

how bout all you muscle car dumbasses stfu and stop knocking imports cuz u kno wat i saw a civic hatch w/ no slicks beat a 5.0 mustang w/ slicks and he ain’t spraying
how many of your big blocks can push out as much power as a 3 liter 6 cylinder 2jz gtte(supra), a 3 rotor 2 liter 20b-rew(eunos cosmo(mazda)), a 6-cyl. 2.5 rb26dett(skyline), a 4 cyl. 2 liter 4G63(mitsu eclipse and evos), or a 4 cyl 1.8 liter B18(honda gsr). and for those that are pushing out the same amount of power keep in mind that these engines are half the size.
muscle cars are so unbalanced and handle like shit so give imports the respect we deserve

why can’t we just get along?!! lol seriously though, a car is a car. Regardless of where its from. Everyone’s got a different style. Why can’t you guys just respect that??

The 1st F&F was amazing because it was like a glimpse into the life of a street racer. It gave you a idea about what goes into the rides and what kind of people street race, and also the mind set of a person that does. It didn’t at first, but shortly after the DVD was relesed, it changed the way people thought about cars & street racing!!!! (Ex. 1.Tons of people started “pimping out” their rides 2.A lot of differen’t street racing games came out soon after.)

Then F&F2 came out. It was just ok. Mostly cheesy!! Definately a big dissapointment!! That’s probably why Vin Diesel didn’t want to be in it. It did good in theaters because people thought it was going to be as good as the 1st.(like me -_-)

Take tons of HOT rides and mix in some drifting!!! Combine with a lame story and crappy characters,(great acting, bad characters) and you have F&F3!!!

I’m suprised there’s going to be a F&F4!!! Do yourself a favor and go find a movie called “Initial D – The Origional Drift”. Also, If your an Anime fan check out the Initial D series!!! There’s also “Wegan Midnight” but that’s not reliesed in the US yet, but wach for it!!! Now those are some good street racing titles!!!

One more thing!!! I’m the leader of the Extreme Racing Alliance-E.R.A.! in Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition Remix on PS2(online street racing)!!! Come and race me some time!!! ;)

Ok phillip you have some what of a point because yes the first two ff movies were our generations american graffiti but the sequel more american graffiti had nothing to do with racing it showed the same people a few years down the road. So a least the ff movies are staying with cars and besides the first to movies made all these newbie tunners that think all you need is neons and NOS to make a fast car. so i for one am glad to see them doning something that requires a well built car and driver skill. because when you look at the tunner market today about the only kinds of racing there are is drag(first ff), circuit(second ff), drift(third & fourth ff), and finally rally but rallying wouldn’t make a very intersting movie cause it’s long distance and the cars are all stagered. but finally drifting is about more than making skidmarks it is a combanation of speed, angle, style, tire smmoke, and length. if you knew any thing about drifting you would know that and that there are about 7-9 different ways to start and hold a drift.

Phillip Barmore
Sep 11, 2007 at 6:59 pm

I agree with a lot of you that drifting is ok, but that is not what made the F and F our generations “American Graffetti” ( if your a real gear haed you’ll understand the comparison), your average kid can’t afford burning off good expensive tires, track time if you have a track that will even allow it let alone have the space. Face it, this movie made this area of custom automotives and racing as popular as it is today and it was all about racing, simply who can get across the finish line faster.Drifting does’nt even have any kind of REAL point system, just who can make the prettiest skid mark. Racing is what this movie should stick with, if you want to look at the numbers, the third one didn’t pull in half the money the first 2 did that should tell you something right there.

Bryant
Sep 11, 2007 at 5:13 pm

Not to be an @$$ or anything, but Dan is an idiot. He needs to look into the world of drifting and see that they are in total control of the vehicle they drive. Drifting is not about going fast, its about using the power and brakes your car has to do a CONTROLLED drift. Second, how is the quarter not a race? Let me guess, your one of these ricer guys that go to the track once, runs an 18 and gets beat by my mothers minivan. Right. Well when you get something with more torque than my lawn mower then you can talk about how the quarter is not a race. There im done with my rant…

Hey! that would be cool if they make the 4 one. But one thing i have to say ,mabey japan started the drift scene ,but american started the technique first, first time a saw a car drift sideways ,remember the black trans am and the general lee :P .? and about the movie i hope they will put some new cars in it ,not always the same if you know what i mean.Personal sugestion lol ( a 1967 cougar ):P . take care you all.

Sep 11, 2007 at 2:07 pm

i say they go back to basics and go back to some street racing, not drifiting..use import only car ..but let vin and gibson preview new muscle cars such as the charger and new camaro..shoot it in one of 3 places..new york.mexico.or the autobahn.new york would be cool because theyve already done the west coast thing..and the second one where the sign says new york or miami they went to miami so they should do up north next..although the autobahn would be cool to let the german and import cars battle it out…..and somewhere in the movie they should bring the supra back that vin drove to mexico in the first one….just without the ricer graphics,,that would deffinatley be a big aww

Actually, that’s not at all what I heard. I follow IGN religiously on movie buzz news, they reported that a 1970 Dodge Charger, a DNX(? that right?) Buick, a NEW Dodge “AVENGER”, and something else (another muscle car) would be the lead cars for the new F&F. However, being a GM enthusiast I would LOVE to see the new Camaro star in this one! I also heard that the movie would be taking place in “Brazil”…..Y????!! I’m honestly surprised they havn’t gone to the Autobahn yet!!!

Rob P.
Sep 11, 2007 at 7:30 am

Oh! and JT, your right. another installment or other series alltogether would be a truck series. haha srt10, silverado ss and SVT lightning vs. VTEC ridgeline, TRD tacoma and SX frontier hahaha makes me laugh but it would be bitchin. And on the point of race types(about my prior comment about the car and actor lineup) why not all kinds of races? like a championship of street racing? americans challenge others to drags and such, euros challenge others to enduring road races and japs challenge others to drifts…just ideas but something to think about. hopefully the producers read forums like this because i want to see a good movie. one more point, i cant believe people who are so narrow minded and only see their fave car as a good car. i have a fave car too, a 71 hemicuda or 77 trans am, but im not even mentioning these for a movie. obviously, im hard into american muscle, but ill watch drifting or porsche/ renault road racing. if its the cars your into, dont watch the movies. if its racing your into, youll appreciate the movies, as long as there well made. sidenote: has anyone seen asphalt wars? haha its a racing movie based in mexico, not really a high budget movie but i enjoyed it for the racing, its a guy in his 90(something) diesel jetta whos trying to build his car to be faster than a 85? camaro. the storyline of working your way up is what i enjoyed. but after seeing the f&f movies to date, i’ve seen the characters working there way up, with walker and gibson last seen with there belts stuff with cash from a drug deal, and diesel(who has obviously always been well-off) driving the hammer, the 4th movie would tie it together with all of them driving sweet cars(preferably what i described in my last comment). i am anticipating the next movie and if your someone only here to critcize the franchise, leave. we dont care. we enjoy watching racing movies, most of us know its not realistic but we dont care. thisa has been another extremely long comment by Rob. thanks.

Lame not another one!!! Ugh..Now more kids are gonna think they are cool in their “souped” up cars. I’m so sick of seeing posers with their 100 stickers on their fenders. Eh…. =\ The third one was super weak, the only cool thing abt it was the 350 Fairlady and S15 Spec R Aero. At least the second one had a real plot compared to the other two.

Rob P.
Sep 11, 2007 at 7:11 am

nice! i liked all the 2f2f movies to date. yeah, a lot of you are right, the movies arent completely realistic but most of us cant deny that they intrigued us, they gave us so many ideas, some impossible, some not. with that, said, wouldn’t be sick if diesel, walker and gibson were now in europe, racing on the autobahn in there 2007 GT500(or saleen cousin)-Gibson,2008 Challenger R/T(NOT SRT!!)-Walker and 2008 Camaro SS-Diesel, taking on other cars from all over the globe? isnt that what racing is about, showdowns for bragging rights, representing your home and having fun? This is my idea, in my mind its flawless but we all have different opinions so feel free to critique my thoughts, but i wont be moved.

P.S. I take all this back if lucas black (shawn from tokyo drift) is in this movie. i thought he was a terrible actor. if hes in it, i promise i wont see it unless someone tells me he has no lines and his character dies in the opening credits. -Peace, Rob

Where are all the replicas. Usually they would have like 3 or 4 same cars. But them are some nice cars. They’re taking every modern muscle car we have in the US and convert it into a drifter……sick. Not for going straight anymore haha. JDM here we come

Sep 11, 2007 at 5:31 am

Personally I agree with some of the guys here.Having a 4ft.wing on the back of a FRONT WHEEL DRIVE (hello)car makes asolutely no sense.
There is a big difference between an “import” and a “ricer”. I have had both musclecars, and am now driving my first import and can honestly say I was absolutely amazed when my car was finally completed. I own a 1995 240sx (NOT AN S14) and my car does everything great. 11.9@122mph (no NAWWWWZ lol) at Speedworld Raceway, it will handle with a Corvette or Viper and it kicks A@# at Autocross. As far as the movie goes I will have to wait and see I didn’t give drifting a whole lot of credit until I tried in and it’s alot tougher than you think. And for all the haters…. 408hp & 463 ft/lbs of TQ in a 2800 pound car = 1 wild ride whether it’s American or import!!
Stop hating and just have fun.

oafman, burt reynolds is dead. as for this movie, they need to take this back to the streets like the first movie. its getting too industry, whether they are running rice cars or american “muscle” (new american cars aren’t muscle as far as I’m concerned. Give me a 454 big block topped with a thirsty 4-barrel. thats muscle. Not fuel-sprayer 6.0liters or V10s.) bulls**t.

I think the makers should read this thread and make it the war of the car worlds. Different races with american muscle taking on ricers. Judging by this thread I think that would make the best plot. But hey I dont make the movies I just enjoy them and I look forward to a 4th. I loved the first 3 except I wish the 2nd was a little more about racing and not drugs but it was still a great movie. And for all the haters of the 3rd one just think of it this way, we all love going fast so what more could you ask for…fast cars and fast women. Its every mans dream movie!

Man drifting is so stupid. Whats attractive about loosing control of your car? Its not racing, its just all show and thats what I hate about it. Figure out what real racing is, and NO! American Muscle freaks, 1/4 mile is not a race. The problem with these movies is that people wanted to look cool and fast and somehow they fail. These movies spawned the ricer and the reels should be burned for destroying cars and what the word tuner ment.

Im done with my rant, feel free to comment…

There really is no such thing as “rice”. Alls it is, is another persons pissed off anger that someone else did something to their automobile that they don’t like. So what if they did or not, it’s not your car. If you don’t like a car, don’t dis it, if you don’t like what someone else spent their own money to do to their car, oh well it’s theirs not yours. I personally like to see what people do to their cars. some like show, some like go, others like myself love show AND go… And people who call the rice card are those who either are jealous or are closed minded to what a car can be. And besides, Fast and the furious is about cars with body kits, juice and built engines, if you don’t like those then you shouldn’t be watcing the movie.

But anyway YEA I Can’t WAIT for this movie! Loved the first and the third, the second didn’t really hook to me that much.. But YEA! Vin is suppost to be in the Fourth, supposidly he went to alot of big name music artists to ask about having their music in the film! And I think that Mustang looks AWSOME! Love cars with Wide kits on them! Makes them look vicious!

Ok, theres a lot of rumours saying that part 4 will be in rio de janeiro, brazil , with muscle, latin american and a skyline. The stars get this:vin diesel, paul walker and tyrese gibson. buick gsx, mustang, opala, skyline and 1970 dodge charger. F… me if this is true it will be amazing and pretty big comeback for the franchise. My bet is that Walker will drive the skyline. Diesel Buick gsx and gibson in mustang or opala.YES BABY.

hey and by the way. i agree with NEMO. if you are a real car guy you will love both. ive have “riced” out mitsus and a a 62 chevy drag car.

Zach Whitsel
Aug 27, 2007 at 2:27 am

wooooohoooooo i just love me some fast and furious. that way when i drive my “ricer” (as you big engine + loud exhaust = go fast wana be’s call them) into town people will say “oh your like that movie stuff!!!” then here comes the question….”have you got NOS???” im like….do you even know what NOS is? i say that take the money they plan to spend on this movie and donate it to starving children in india!

Nemo
Aug 27, 2007 at 2:24 am

Yeah why do people have to be either pure ricer, or pure muscle car enthusiast. I love both!! I own a riced out prix, and a 65 mustang. I, however, did not rice my mustang…but regardless, I still like and RESPECT both.

I guess all you who say ghost flames are for ricers have never seen a tricked out truck or donk. Maybe you should open your horizon and see the big picture. If you love cars then you should appreciate the beauty of it. Whatever the catagory. Import or domestic.(personally into rotary’s but thats just me).I dont know how they pulled off the silvia motor into a mustang but hey, ITS A FORD!!! ROTFLMAO
Now THATS for the haters.

Joe Henderson
Aug 26, 2007 at 10:10 pm

Yeah, its terrible to see a nice mustang riced out with ghostrider flmaes on the sides and head on the hood. I hope that’s not the exact car they plan on featuring in the movie. Even the other mustang or supposedly how it began is completely riced out with all those stickers and the body kit and all.

its a shame to see a muscle car turned into a ricer though

Bruce West
Aug 26, 2007 at 7:33 pm

Import, Muscle . . . power to weight? (4 wheels and a motor) I would love to see another movie made, its a good excuse to dump a$$ loads of money into cars and then add a plot . . . almost as good as porn (almost)

Let’s be honest, even though alot of us like the F & F movies they are NOT reality. I repeat, don’t base your car dreams on this movie, it’s just a movie. Real people who know what the drifting, muscle car, tuner, anything to do with the car scene is about will know what I’m talking about. Weather American or Japanese. Also, you can’t get everything you want! Big debate, should the movies be about muscle cars, drifting, tuners. Well they just have to do their best to balance it. Looking back at the last three movies, I pick the first one as the best one. Everything was balanced out without the commotion.

kyle williams
Aug 26, 2007 at 10:42 am

wow.. everyone getting hyped up over another poorly acted, highly unrealistic, and totaly riced out movie. as if the first three werent bad enough. there starting to put american cars in it guys, think about it, there going to be covered with “apexi” stickers and have bodykits.. why, just why. ive said it before and ill say it on here for the first time, real car guys dont watch f&f because none of its real.

Aug 26, 2007 at 6:21 am

Ya your right Thomas Bowman; and my bad, the “Hammer” is a Plymouth Roadrunner not a GTX. Still one bad ride that would be cool in the next Fast & Furious. If they are going with a muscle car theme, they should through in the “F-bomb” 73 Camaro that Nelson Racing Engines worked on as well.

Big Papa
Aug 26, 2007 at 5:49 am

I’m so tired of ppl getting all hyped up over little 4 cylinder imports. hate to tell ya, they arent that fast. sure the ones in the movie are, but if you dropped 5 grand in any motor you could make it run ok. but i guarntee you those cars wouldnt last as daily drivers. as much NAWZ as they use they’d blow for sure. I say they completly skip the import factor for this one. if they put some american muscle, such as the new mustang and camaro, i think the movie would do alot better because it would reach out to more ppl not just the high school kids who pimp out their dads hand-me-down car.

Cavalier
Aug 26, 2007 at 4:37 am

Me personly I would love another F&F movie but I think they should showcase the cars in the EURO scene over in the U.K. If you read some of their mags the rides they have are some tough rides and I find they have more mods or better mods than North Americans even though we can get anything. They already did us and the japs I think the U.K deserves some of the car showcase movie love.

Stan
Aug 26, 2007 at 1:11 am

Maybe it’ll be a good movie. Whats up with the ghost rider mustang? Anybody else think that’s some ricey shit? I hope they don’t put that car in the movie. Shit looks wack!!

“Last time I checked drifting was for imports. That’s an insult to anybody who owns an AMERICAN MUSCLE CAR. They should bring back Paul Walker and ” –John

Hey, question for ya, who’s been the top driver in Formula D for last few years, Oh yeah Sam Hubinette, oh and whats he drive, a Viper? no couldn’t be, and yeah what about the Falken mustang, and if you say drifting isn’t street racing, go to like youtube and try street drifting, or japanese drifting, its all touge racing, pretty mcuh

minimoparfever that car Vin Deisel drove in tokyo drift was actually called the Hammer from nelson racing engines and it wasnt a stock mopar engine it was one of nelsons turbo engines if u wanan see the thing run go to their website and see all their cars and engines pretty insane it’s nelsonracingengines.com

The Fast And Furious 1 and 2 were incredible movies. The 3rd one absolutely sucked just like the 4th one will because it’s about drifting. Why would anybody want to drift there mustang or charger? Last time I checked drifting was for imports. That’s an insult to anybody who owns an AMERICAN MUSCLE CAR. They should bring back Paul Walker and Vin Diesel and forget about all the ricey drifting bullshit. Then they would have a great movie and actually not disappoint people like the 3rd movie did to me I couldn’t even watch the whole thing because the actors and storyline sucked. All in all make the movie about street racing like the original not about drifting in my opinion.

Hate to tell you this Joel one of the best drifters is sponsered by Falken in an 05′ Mustang GT. It doesn’t matter to me if it’s a lowrider, import, exotic, muscle or even a streetbike I’d like to see what they’re going to do with it. My only problem is I actually come from the lifestyle, it’s hard to look at any of those movies seriously.

Clayton
Aug 25, 2007 at 4:39 pm

This one will be interesting to see :) I did like Tokyo Drift, hopefully they can make this one better though. I too did not like the main actor… They better find someone better! Got something to look forward to now, can’t wait for a formal announcement to come out with this.

Aug 25, 2007 at 2:35 pm

If they decide to drift muscle cars, this will be the gayest movie of all time. That’s a little insulting to a muscle car owner, I sure as hell wouldn’t drift my mach 1. Drifting is for ricers AKA losers.

I didnt really care for the 3rd one and Im pretty sure theyll mess this one up. Just about every movie that went passed 3 installments started getting lame.

Man 1 and 2 were the best. The third one killed it. Come on. Go from cali to miami then Toyko wtf. Then put new people in it killed it too. The first one was about street racing not drifting. Goes to show you that these movies are for the kiddies. Rather see gone in sixty seconds 2 then fast and furious 4 drift crap.

Aug 25, 2007 at 5:15 am

Look at the size of the F*ck’in Turbo. I really enjoyed the first FNF movies but, I thought the 3rd one kinda sucked and could have done so much better. The humor was the bits that carried it along…

Hope they bring Vin back for the 4th and there ends up being more to the story there…

It’s about time they featured American Muscle in those movies. I’m getting tired of watching all these 4 cylinder fart tubes running around. I might actually enjoy this movie.

Richard
Aug 24, 2007 at 11:09 pm

I am pretty excited to hear that there may be another fast the furious movie. I think the first two were a little too much about imports and such and not about the culture of street racing. 3 was excited and touched on just about every peice of car culture. Hope 4 is a good one.

Dark Drift
Aug 24, 2007 at 10:32 pm

Hmmm, If they did the same amount of research, Got the same input from Toshi, Keiichi Tsuchiya, And got Pro Drifter/Drivers to do the stunt driving again then it should make for a pretty promising flick. It would make sense to bring back Vin from his appearence at the end of tokyo drift and continue the story, But that would take away from the coolness of the film. It would be a much better film without the hollywood feel that Vin Diesel would bring, And I pray they dont bring back paul walker, Or any more rappers/singers like Ja Rule, Tyrese, Ludacris, Or lil Bow wow LOL! Who’s next T.I, 50 Cent, Akon lol! I wasn’t really feelin the new main character either that sean guy. Maybe they’ll get somebody better this time…

Jon Reed
Aug 24, 2007 at 9:21 pm

Ohhhh man TFTF 4 will be GREAT! I cant wait to see the american muscle take on the imports. The only thing to make it better would to have a vew hot volvos in the backround or even a few oldschool ones drifting :P
