Face Off: Cold-War Crawlers
By Jen
Editor
Big old tough-as-nails SUVs are hot, especially when they’re used for things other than commuting between the suburbs and the office. This week’s Face Off contenders have certainly earned their extreme-wheelin’ creds: shimniok’s ’86 Jeep Grand Wagoneer has been crawling the unforgiving terrain of Colorado and Moab for ten years, but is also set up to be steetable enough to reach far-flung trail heads by highway. Todd’s ’84 Toyota FJ60 Land Cruiser can tackle some equally gnarly California wilderness trails (and streams!), and was even featured in 4WD Toyota Owner Magazine last spring. However, only one of these burly beasts can win a new set of skins from Discount Tire Co. Cast your vote now for your favorite!
