This Just In: New on the Net

I spent my three-day weekend on a great road trip through the North Cascades (I even got 35mpg for the trip. Who needs a hybrid?). Anyone else get a chance to hit the open road last weekend?

  • It’s good to see that engineers are coming up with reasonably priced competitors to the Veyron: Wired
  • Here’s some news you can use: be careful when dealing with used car salesmen. Maybe instead of kicking the tires, think about checking their air pressure: Auto Express
  • It looks like Volkswagen is worried about its US HQ catching bad habits in Michigan—it’s being relocated to Northern Virginia. If nothing else, VW employees will see more German-made cars in DC and its suburbs, as Embassy Row is a Mercedes stronghold and BMW might be the official car maker of M Street in Georgetown: Leftlane News

Yeah go SSC. I remember first reading about those guys after I saw the car on “Bullrun” on Spiketv.

Let’s hope they make a good run of it and see how fast that car can go.
