More Automotive "Art": Low-Speed Collision
By Jen
Editor
This piece that Dan pointed out in the blog comments is significantly less hideous than the cubed Porsche posted by John, because at least no actual cars were harmed, unless you count 1/18th scale die-casts. What’s interesting about "The Slow, Inevitable Death of American Muscle" is that the artist has the cars rigged up to some sort of gear drive that slowly mashes them together over the course of a whole month, resulting in the world’s slowest wreck. What makes me nervous is that the website implies that the scale-model versions are merely practice for a full-sized piece, and yes, this will likely involve the destruction of actual, irreplaceable American muscle cars. What gives this pompous ass the right?

So when the Dukes of Hazzard destroyed dozens of Chargers to make their “art”, it was ok?

OMGZ the Pontiac trans am and 69 Charger r/t are my two favourite cars. IT’S A HEMI TOO!! How could anybody do this? I would replace one of those cars with the artist… or put the artist in the middle. Hehehe.
