Sandra - The DeLorean was only produced at the factory in bare stainless steel, with no paint (other than the front and rear fascias, which are made from urethane). Some cars were painted by the car dealers, while others were painted by the private owners. There are many advantages to having no paint to worry about.

That 4X4 DeLorean in Evan's post is called "D-Rex", and is located up in the Chicago area. The platform is a K-5 Blazer, but it has been extensively modified. The owner has it looking very nice, for what it is.

Has anyone else noticed that were on a mid engine marathon here. From Bugatti's to Panteras, to the Deloreans. Next week will be onto rear engines. Old school VW's and Corvairs look out.
