Is Cerberus Gonna Let the Viper Die?
By Rob
Editor-in-Chief
It’s no secret that Cerberus/Chrysler is going to eliminate several models in the next few months. But page 14 of a recent UAW document has some alarming news about the Viper and the Connor assembly plant where it is built:
"Connor Avenue Assembly – Dodge Viper continues through the product lifecycle. No future product identified; parties will explore opportunities for current Connor employees. Company plans to close facility during term of agreement. UAW will continue to advocate for new product."
So, could this be the end of the Viper?

If anything could kill a Viper, it would be a three-headed guard hound from hell.
…nice name to give a company. Instills serenity amidst the workforce.

What it will do is a blessing in disguise for present Viper owners. Establishing a finite pool of such cars will boost their value.
Every cloud has a silver lining, even if the silver isn’t seen by all.
