More Chinese Crash Test Carnage
By Jen
Editor
We already know that Chinese cars tend to have abysmal crash-test results. So will you be any safer if you drive a Chinese SUV? This video of the Jiangling Landwind suggests that the answer is no, unless your idea of "safer" involves wrapping your wisdom teeth around your steering wheel. And you thought American SUVs had problems!

There is something beautifully ironic about the fact that there *are* airbags and they *do* deploy, but they do so while the wheel and dash are being hurled into the driver – I guess I never thought of that particular situation…

OH MY GOD what a piece of CRAP. I have never seen a steering wheel become a freaking projectile while still being connected to the dash board!
I guess it could only be worse if news came out that their cars were made with Lead!
They apparently have a long, long way to go.

Bravo!! Reminds me of that “Simpsons go to a car show” clip posted on here awhile back. What do they use to hold Chinese cars together anyway? Chewing gum? Not only did the whole thing buckle past the A-pillar, the seats didn’t even stay in place!!! LOL.
