The Magnum got killed because too many people have their heads up their a55 and will only consider an SUV/CUV. That and the fact that Dodge didn’t market the Magnum at all after the first year. The Magnum was a great looking car (IMHO) with above average performance tghat could do what 99% of the SUVs on the road today can do with much better driving dynamics.

Hey nice pic!! The magnum may only be a station wagon to some, but to the owners it’s a one of a kind special automobile. It’s a shame to see it go, but I’ll be holding on to mine!

If it’s that worthless, then I should buy one, stash it away for a few years and whala!! I could have a car worth 6 digits. I know that’s overly simplified, but considering what happened to the cars of the ’50s and ’60s, it could happen. Do you think anyone back in 1965 thought the Mustang fastback could be a fast car. Carroll Shelby called it a secretary’s car. Now look. You can’t touch a 6 cylinder fastback for below 20 grand when just a few years ago they were worthless cars in the hands of college students like me.

Be honest, this car will be worth 3000.00 in a few months literally, remember the 300m that car is worthless now.

And IMO, the magnum, charger and EVEN the 300C got so heavily bought, it doesn’t impact me at all, they are the 04-08 dodge caravans… just meaningless, unless they pulled a 1950-1960-s era major redesign every two years…. I’d appreciate, just for interest purposes if they cut all those and stockpiled challenger type vehicles with excitement around them. 300C sales have declined BIG TIME since introduction, cause there’s no difference in year other then “adding more chrome” which Chrysler even admits in their ads…..

I’m NOT surprised that the PT Cruiser will not have a redesign. That’s been the dilemma all along with that car. What would they change the design to look like? Another old-time boat body? I see it now… the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Edition PT Cruiser II.

It’s a shame to see it go. It was truly the first good station wagon since the Ford Falcon wagon. That thing ran hard on the street and looked superb with a surf board in the back. The Beach Boys should write a song about it.

I remember that car, my 90hp subaru gave it a good run. Sorry to see it go, it is so self righteous. I’d rather the masculine subaru 2wd sedan. Kidding aside, giant engines and that body was excellent combo. I like the four doors or wagons for straight race nonchalantly, has been the same for ohhh half a century? the coupes are for suicide, everything else allows you to win. Shame to see it go, appealing to look at. Almost a reason for the big hemi to be open a bit more…

I love my PT, but if there was a car I’d swap it for, I’d love to have a Magnum. Personally, I like the lines better than the Charger.
