Ghetto culture will rue the day it created these detestable vehicles. Creators and owners of these vile aberration’s will one day fall upon their knees and beg for the forgiveness of Henry Ford… but the Lord of Automobiles will show no mercy. For Henry Ford created automobiles for all purposes of good: transportation, recreation, sport, and show. A hi-rise serves none of these purposes. For it is a foul and twisted perversion that is much like homosexuality. I have not gone too far and but will go further… hi-rises are in fact the root of all current homosexuality. I still don’t quite understand the point of this “fad”. It’s a $1000 granny car with $3000 wheels. I talked to a customer that came in to my store the other day about his Impala on 24′s. He admited that it’s like driving a larger go cart. He said that it was the most comfortable car to drive in. I suppose he was suggesting I never do such a thing.

It boils down to preference and judgement as always. Same thing when lowering was the craze or 6″ and higher lifts on road-driven pickups, 200 decibel+ stereos and more TV’s than your average home would have. This is just another chapter, and as always it will come and go, leaving some behind to keep the trend going.

Holy crap!! get a clue if you dont know what your doing when it comes to the safety of your vehicle, dont do it or get some help. If you cant afford to do it right or safe dont do it. Its really quite simple. i dont really see hi-risers as a part of the aftermarket community because its like there proud of taking every bit of functionality their cars have and chucking it out the window.

Honestly, I don’t care for hi-risers or big rims, but I can appreciate any rockin ride that’s done up well. I do think it looks neat, but I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near the car when it comes truckin down the road.

Not to put words in other people’s mouths, but I think what Jake was getting at was the stupidity of some people who use things in a manner for which they were never designed, engineered, or meant to be used. Instead of doing some research, or spending the money on the right items to do the job, they use what’s on hand or what’s on sale. I can remember a news article I read a few years back about some rednecks using hockey pucks of all things as lifting blocks between the frame rails and body mounts of their trucks. Stuff like that is just asking for injury, as is the springs illustrated in the post above. I only hope that this car, like the beloved Mustang that everyone likes so much, will only be used for show and not go.
