Viper Powered Jag!

Maybe it’s Rob’s influence, but lately I’ve been wondering about the possibility of dropping a Viper motor into an XJ6. The sheer weight of the sedan might make that maniacal Mopar power manageable, and it’d sure be fun to surprise people at stoplights. Well, last night when I was poking around, I saw Hurley Engine Services has already done a Viper/XJS swap, and it looks insane. The power of the Viper and the refinement of the Jag? How awesome would that be? I’d love to see a video of this beast in action!

Hey Trever,

First, the Viper Motor has ten cylinders, not eight, and Jag 12s are notoriously unreliable. With the swap, this car is much more valuable, just like XJ6s with Chevy swaps are more valuable than stock ones.

Cheers,

John

Just out of curiosity not to bash on it or anything. why would you take a v-12 out of a car that only had 14,000 miles on it and drop in an 8 i realize the viper engine has tons more power but wouldn’t that car be worth more original? maybe just to prove it could be done… anyways very nice build and a scary sleeper
