Beat The Heat
By Rob
Editor-in-Chief
Beat the Heat is a non-profit organization made up of active and retired police officers and fire fighters who race their cars and "use them as an education tool to teach younger drivers about the dangers of street racing and introduce them to legal drag racing." The ‘93 Vette below is owned by Sgt. Jim Butler of the St. Albans, West Virginia Police Department, and is just one of the cars they take to the track (be sure to check out their ride page). If you’re in your teens or early twenties and think you have what it takes to beat the cops on the track, contact Beat the Heat to find an event near you.
