Limited-Edition Chargers in Every Color of the Rainbow

In 1969 Dodge built 503 Daytonas to sell to the public in order to race in NASCAR. With the long nose and tall wing, the car had a drag coefficient of .28 (better than many modern cars) and was a huge success at the track. However, it was a flop at dealerships, and many of the cars sat on dealer lots for months or years before being sold (though prices today for these rare cars have gone through the roof). Fast-forward to 2006: Dodge brings back the Charger, and just for old-time’s sake, throws a few Daytona Editions into the mix. They came in Go ManGo Orange, Top Banana Yellow, and TorRed Red, and were offered in Sublime Green and Plum Crazy Purple the following year. The stand-out was the Super Bee, painted yellow, which ran the R/T Daytona’s 6.1L engine from the SRT8 Charger instead of the 5.7L hemi. Now for the 2008 model run, Dodge has released two new Charger color schemes: the new Hemi Orange, a pearl coat that will replace the metallic clear coat of 2006; and the B5 Surf Blue Super Bee. All of these special Chargers are limited edition and only a couple thousand of each are produced. Only question is, what color do you want?

i’d really enjoy owning
a 1969 dodge charger:
navy blue exterior
with a hemi engine
black chassis
and black interior
oh well…

Sublime!!!! Other than Hemi Orange, nothing seems to yell Mopar as loud as the bright lime green they’ve used through the years. Combine it with flat black and those crazy stripes and decals and it just looks awesome!!!

They’re all ugly colors. If I had to choose, I’d get the TorRed Red but what I would really like is a black one with silver daytona decals.

The Charger, at least so far is a real accomplishment from Dodge. The car’s styling is just plain freaking desireable.

It’s a car that looks great in most colors, so marketing it with some imaginative hues could only boost sales.
