Farnbacher Loles Porsche Cayman GTR
By Rob
Editor-in-Chief
Porsche won’t stuff one of their better motors into the Cayman because they fear it would undermine 911 sales. So a company named Farnbacher Loles in Connecticut decided to do it. They swapped in the 3.8-liter X-51 out of a Carrera S and ended up with one fast Cayman (in fact, they plan to build twenty of them). But the Farnbacher Loles Porsche Cayman GTR will set you back $125k, which is about the cost of a 911 Turbo. Hmmm… More at Europeancarweb.

I just think a company based out of CT with that German name is ridiculous!

This car is for the true Porsche enthusiest. Hence why there only making 20. Theres probably only 20 people who wrote to Porsche asking them to do this anyways.

Yeah, I don’t want the 911′s to end, but they need to start making the Cayman faster.

I doubt this will ever overtake or even hinder Porsche 911 sales. The 911 is possibly one of the single greatest designs ever in a single car. Look at how long Porsche has been able to run the same design, retaining success year after year.
