Trading Places Contest: Day Three!
By John
Editor
Well, we’re in the third day of our Scion contest, and from the looks of it, Editorial is going to have to make some tough choices come decision time. After immediately dismissing this entry—nice try, Juan—I rolled up my sleeves and found some people we might actually give the car to. Mike’s E30 jumped out at me immediately, because I love these old Bimmers, and I think they look especially tough in matte black. Since everyone here has been talking about green technology lately, Robert’s super-clean ‘83 Mercedes diesel wagon looked pretty attractive to. It would make a perfect grease car or bio-diesel project. I also dug, for it’s sheer burliness, Augusto’s Dodge Ram, but my heart actually skipped a beat when I saw that Evo Joe had thrown his 1999 Evo and track-ready 240SX into the fray. Wow. I’d love to get my hands on either of those! Keep those submissions coming in guys! Remember, you can’t win if you don’t enter!

I don’t know that anyone “NEEDS” a car like this… honesty about all the functionality is gone except for point a to point be travel for 2 people… but I agree with the idea of the previous post. Give the car to someone who doesn’t have the budget to do something like this on their own. Give an average guy the chance to ride like he’s one of the big boys. ( as much as that’s possible in a scion anyway.)

i agree with mike…im gonna be pissed if this thing goes to someone with an already nice car. it needs to go to someone who NEEDS it.

I hope they choose someone who could use a new car. Not someone who’s putting up there already nice car to get a nicer one. I thought it was to trade our junk for a sweet ride.
