As a person with little regard for my own safety, I was saddened by the news that Evel Knievel died. Now for the news:
- I’m not sure I could see myself commuting in this solar powered car: Winding Road
- WRC rally car racing may be returning to the U.S. of A! FIA wants to run a regional competition in North America next year: Autoweek
- I can’t wait to see what Lewis Hamilton does on the Top Gear track in the reasonably priced car challenge: BBC
- GM is set to lose $1 BEEEELLLLION this year, but says it will break even next year and show a profit in 2009: DetNews

Hey, maybe a wind-powered car?!?
-
as the car moves, the wind powers a generator. Just gotta blow real hard to get it started.
-
Kidding, of course.

Solar, unless the multiple-layered cells are used (EXTREMELY expensive) is not a viable way to power a car, at least not in real-time. OF course if ya got a solar array to charge an electric car you got free energy and a free ride, which would be pretty sweet although that money saved would go into paying for that setup no doubt.

I think Saturn sales have and will continue to help GM out of its own grave. Saturn now offers a very attrictive line. The Sky is an awesome car. the Aura has all the class of the next Malibu, but has already established a postive award winning stand in the game. The all new 08 Sky is a great cross over and strays away from those nasty three letters: SUV. I feel that Saturn will prove itself once again with the upcoming Astra in the competive sport compact, micro, and b-spec market. GM appears to be lately using Saturn as a launch pad for new ideas and designs, then later applying towards the higher levels of Chevy and GM.

Im sorry for GM but a new malibu isnt gonna be the way to bring profits back. maybe tying in with the MOB and embezzeling money through the company through dirty work. But thats confidential
