I think the biggest problem with ALL of these is their proportions. They're all tall skinny and short.
-
Plainly put, almost nobody likes the looks of these!
-
I HOPE those who design these realize this. We don't want to drive Fisher Price Barney Wagons! Give us NORMAL-ish looking vehicles and we'll (or at least someone'll) start buying.

What I'd like to know about all these electric cars is, how much fossil fuel derived energy (i.e. from a power plant) does it take to re-charge one? It just seems to me that they're hiding the problem rather than addressing it.

just because a cars electric, doesn't mean it has to be ugly! why can't there be more electric cars with looks?

wow. I cant honestly agree with the "sexy" comment. I have nothing against electric cars, but this one is ugly. This Electrica would have looked a world better as a hatch, the trunk just looks awkward. The porportions are very odd. The largest piece of sheetmetal is the door.

These are great for city dwellers, college students, etc. but I'm holding my breath for EVs that don't look like these stereotypical EVs.

I'm just waiting for a viable incarnation at an affordable price. Only a few months away from paying off my final car loan. I'm even toying with the idea of building my own EV. Aside from initial cost, my only real concern is the lifespan of the power supply. Replacing worn batteries every three years or so is going to lead to a different issue than the current cost/inefficiency of petrol, but if there are a lot of people out there doing it... it could get serious fast. I dunno... but I'm ready to give up my petroleum addiction for something more ecologically friendly.
