Take a Bite Outta Crime!

Forget McGruff the crime dog, there are plenty of non-celebrity canines out there doing their part. Recently, an English a car thief decided to abandon the vehicle he’d just boosted after the 125lb German Shepard mix in the back seat reared his head. While the dog, Diesel, was more confused than angry, the thief decided not to take his chances, and left the car after driving just 100 feet. While this story is funny all by itself, I was cracking up because the exact same thing happened to my friend Lisa a couple months back, when her Pathfinder got jacked. Of course, she was frantic, but her panic was short-lived—it turned up less than a block from where she’d parked. Now, it’s just a hunch, but I have a sneaking suspicion the thief didn’t want to tangle with Pretty Man, the 90lb Pit Bull who was sleeping in the back seat. I know I wouldn’t.
