Mazda Furai Concept

Mazda is taking their flowing Nagare designs to the track. Check out this Furai concept that will be shown off at NAIAS later this month. And unlike most concepts this one runs and drives–Mazda has already taken it for some laps around Laguna Seca. More at Autoweek.

If you’re gonna burn fuel, might as well go with a turbine. That’s the stuff real speed is made of.

Man its like they turned a Hot Wheels car into a fullsize car…. again. Does anyone know what (archaic) internal combustion type engine they use to power this? If they were smart they wouldn’t put anything less than a brand new RX-8 rotary engine in it. A few turbos strapped to the beast wouldnt hurt either.
