The Worst Crash in NASCAR History
By John
Editor
NASCAR has seen it’s share of burly crashes over the years, but the sheer numbers on this one are insane. None of the drivers got seriously injured, but it took out 37 of the 68 cars on the track. Yup, over half the field. Yikes.

Nissan63, I’m with you. That’s why I switched to Trans Am racing a long time ago. At least the cars appear to be stock. The doors, wipers, lights, and mirrors all have to be in working order even though some of the engines and chassis have been majorly tweeked.

Now THAT is stock car racing! There is Nothing Stock about NASCAR now, they should change the name.

It’s impressive to see those cars going that fast,
without much in way of safety equipment.
I liked seeing the thin roll bar padding held on by
what looked like electrical tape…
And those tires….yikes!
.
Pretty cool video!
