Ecto It Ain’t: Big-Block Mopar Ambulance!

I love the big Cadillac ambulances as much as anyone, but this 413-powered Chrysler New Yorker meat wagon offers a nice change of scenery. It seems to have working lights and siren, and the body is almost perfectly preserved—it hasn’t even been on the road since 1987. Plus the mileage is almost too good to be true: while hearses are nearly always on the low side, any ambulance that’s ever seen service has usually clocked some hard miles, so the Crysler’s 19,000 is pretty impressive. Check out this awesome time capsule on eBay!

I think they converted it into an ambulance because everyone was getting sick while looking at the ugly step child front end of this old Mope. I love old cars but I’ll be the first to admit that not all of them had good looks.

It doesn’t have the original tires, but still pretty impressive. He says they’re at least 30 yrs old. Simply amazing to see an ambulance this well preserved.
