NAIAS 2008: Dodge ZEO is Green and Hot!
By Jen

The ZEO, an acronym for Zero Emissions Operation, is a rear-wheel drive EV that’ll put out 268 hp and boast a 0-60 timeless than 6 secondsthat promises to give even the current Hemi a run for its money. The aggressive lines give the ZEO a family resemblance to other recent Mopar eye-candy, including the Crossfire and the Charger. Clearly, Dodge is serious about getting its feet wet in the green-performance segment, though it remains to be seen whether they’re serious about pushing such a sexy and muscular EV to production. If they did, it just might outshine Chevy’s gorgeous Voltand I’m betting that more CarDomain members would want a ZEO than a Prius! Check out more pics over at Autoblog.

Well, except I didn’t see that Dodge made this Zeos before I wrote the last post. Could they be actually thinking of making this? I sure hope so.

BTW: I work in the Power Utility industry. If EV’s catch on (well, to be honest, even if not) the electrical “grid” nationwide needs a serious redo.

That’s another issue, but as I mentioned, one that needs to be addressed anyway.
-
Also, as I mentioned in the past, it’s a hell of a lot cheaper, easier and faster to equip gas stations with quick recharge stations than to equip them to dispense Hydrogen. Battery technology with low resistance is emerging, which allows recharge in 10 MINUTES
-
What’s holdin this up is a gross lack of committment, even outright rejection, from big automobile makers.
