‘67 Fairlane 500 Project

Craig bought this ‘67 Fairlane from his uncle, hauled it home and started tearing it apart. The Fairlane had spent several years rotting away in a field, and the floorboards were pretty shot. Craig’s got a ways to go, but something tells me he’s gonna stick with it and get it done.

Hey nice car i got a 67 fairlane when i was 12 i am 15 now i have done every thing to that car i got a lot of info on restoration sites if you need any help on that let me know

Hey Craig, the car in the photo is to me and to many a gearhead alike a fine piece of AMERICAN art work, and it is also a piece of American history. I have a 67 two door 500 I just picked up last month. It is in pretty good shape, but I honestly believe in the “Diamond in the Rough” factor. The way I see it, every car in the world,especially the older ones, have made at least one person very happy at some time. Hang in there and get this car going!!

Hey thank u sister, those were real kind words and encouraging even though that car meant nothing to uncle bill, he was still excited to see the finish product, which motivates me even more. i just wish he was here to see it finished… or at least how far ive come now… even though it doesn’t look like i have lol

And how lucky am i to have a girlfriend that is that supportive of spending my money on POS like that lol. thank you for the support ladies. i love u both

Wow!! I am so proud of my boyfriend and his passion!!! I know the car is a POS right now believe me i do believe it has seen way better days lol, but i know the passion Craig has for that car is so strong that it wont take him long once he gets the funds to finish it. I will stand by him and support him through it all. It will be a beauty when he is finished with it that is for sure!!!!

Yep, that is my bro’s “POS” Fairlane alright, haha! But part of loving cars is not just loving the finished product…but is being equally sad when seeing a classic in this horrible state, then having the drive to make is great again, right?
That photo is also two of favorite boys of all time. They both truly shared a love for Fairlanes and all classic cars. Yes, my brother will stick with it, for sure. If for no other reason, but to make the other guy in this picture(Our Uncle Bill–RIP Apr 2006 )proud.
