I would like the see the 2007 Ford Interceptor concept on the streets. But, for some odd reason, I don’t think there would be very many people in the market for a big, powerful sedan. The 5.0 liter V8 would run on E85 ethanol, though. For information and photos, visit:

The fact that cars don’t look like the Aero X now shows the Auto Industry’s reluctance to simply move forward. I remember gull wing and lambo doors were all the rage in the ’70s and ’80s in concepts. Did they end up making their way onto cars for the common man in the ’90s or ’00s? Hell no. Why? I’ve heard of hemming and hawing about clashes with overhead garage doors or concrete parking structures or lawsuits from folks who lose teeth when they’re not paying attention, yada yada.

It’s all B.S. because people will buy what they’re comfortable with, and quite simply auto execs lacked the balls to spruce up some models with something as basic as a revised door configuration. The result is that virtually all domestic car doors are the same as they were this time a century ago.

The saddest thing is that most concept vehicles are destroyed, I believe. Auto Makers don’t want the lawsuit vulnerability involved with someone being injured or killed in a privately-owned, functioning former-concept car.

One interesting concept is the 2001 Dodge Super 8 Hemi. It was even boxier than the current Chrysler 300, and the styling is questionable. Well, it was ugly. But, it may be ugly enough to earn a place in my garage-shaped heart. I remember reading a magazine article about it when I was very young; perhaps that (and the word “hemi” in the name) helped me develop a love for it. For photos, you can visit:

This Saab is beautiful! Its good to see that, well, Saab has life left in it. I really like the Aero X. It is a work of art from the roof/door/cockpit thing to the wheels to the interior. I love the gauge cluster! I would love seeing these on the street, even if it was unreliable.

Thats another saab concept they should have made. This car is also amazing in person. Built in 1985 using some carbon fiber and even solar panels in the roof! 285HP (MORE THAN CURRENT SAAB MODELS) and top speed of 168mph.
