The Launch: Fun Little Time-Waster

The concept behind AMG’s the Launch isn’t complex, but it’s still pretty fun. The point? Just get the best start you can. That’s it. I haven’t been good at video game in like 20 years, so predictably, I kind of sucked at it. But the visuals are cool, and the sound of the motor is sick. My best time is 4.772. What’s yours?

that is kinda fun. I found I was letting off the brake and gas at the same time..just for a plit second so I don’t burn the tires into the tunnel wall. LOL.

Using Internet Explorer, I got false starts, like 12 in a row. I made sure I wasn’t jumping the gun a few times and it STILL said I was making false starts. What a piece of crap, and amusing for about 5 seconds.

I’m gonna go now and drive the Nurburgring in GT4. Been taking various cars through that course, trying to find the best one. Started with small, lightweight (but maxed out on HP) cars with frustrating results. Tires get chewed up FAST. Everything starts out fine but control becomes a real issue after only 1-1/2 laps. Gonna try some larger (yeah, also maxed out) cars instead, starting with Mercedes, the McLaren SLR first. After all, German cars are made for German roads.
