Incompentent Parking: Is Defacement the Solution?
By Jen
Editor
We were stoked to find that our buddies over at Jalopnik have discovered a G-rated version of the parking-retaliation merchandise we’ve talked about here before. What the cheery illustrated stickers available at IParkLikeAnIdiot lack in, um, colorful language, they make up for with the fact that they involve defacing the offender’s vehicle. You see, the stickers can’t be ordered in batches of fewer than 20, suggesting that typical customers aren’t exactly purchasing the novelties for display on their own vehicles, if you catch my drift. This aligns the business with guerrilla vehicle-stickering campaigns of the past, such as the one a few years back that encouraged people to plaster the most oversized SUV’s with stickers that read, "I’m changing the climate, ask me how!" While a lot of you have agreed that incompetent parking makes you see red, particularly when someone else’s crappy parking job endangers your vehicle, I’m wondering if you think it’s ever justifiable to smack a sticker on someone’s ride. Maybe if it keeps you from keying them?

2.Check the infraction that applies.
3.They look it up, see there idiocy.
4.Everyone leaves happy.

For those of you that need a can opener to get your car out due to some other idiot parking too close, use this picture on the link below.

if you don’t want to deface there car, you just write on a piece of paper, “I’m sorry but because you parked like this I accidentally hit your car. My bad.” Then put it under their windshield wiper. They’ll see this message and freak out and check their car like 3 times over lol.

hahah thats awesome, sticker is good and all but i prefer sending a more assertive message like breaking a window or scratching on their hood “lern to park”

Yeah… Littering, lazy-ass people leaving shopping carts all over creation, crappy parkers, crappy drivers hogging the left lane… a lot of people suck.

The lazy-ass abandonment of shopping carts is becoming an epidemic. There are whole shopping centers I avoid completely because I get completely pisssed off when trying to find a space. Whenever I see some ass clown leave one wherever (unless it looks like he’ll kick my ass) I say something.

until the owner sees you puting it on there, and then cries “vandalism!, Vandalism!” oh boy! Now evan has a good idea. Plus, i ussually never want to key anyones car, its not the cars fault!

The problem with the paper idea is the scumbags that park like that obviously have no consideration. So what is to keep them from balling up the paper and throwing it on the ground?
I’m no environmentalist by any stretch, but it REALLY irritates me when I see people litter.
I think there are extreme cases where people deserve to have a sticker on their car if they choose to be so supremely selfish.

I may have to copy and paste some of those that Evan was talking about. Nothing pisses me off more than to come out of a store just to realize that you can’t get into your own car because some idiot parked 2 inches away from you.

Bengals Fan: Stickers on auto glass? No harm done. I’ve removed the “sticker on Steroids”, a Philadelphia abandoned car sticker, from a Saturn I’d bought for $100 just before it was to be towed away. It took a pressure washer, razor blade and finger nail to get it all off, but there wasn’t a trace and no damage.
-
Stickers really don’t get any worse than that one was. It was designed not to be removed, at least not easily. The trick is to apply it to the windshield where it’s more visible anyway, not the body.

Oh, and the wind chill factor was about 10 degrees.

My problem tonite wasn’t someone else’s parking, it involved fighting with some ass clown over a space at the mall.
-
The nearest open spaces were no exaggeration 800 feet from the entrance. I have my 3 kids with me. I drive for about 20 minutes looking for an opportunity. A woman heads toward a parked pickup and I wait for her. I followed her for about 100 feet and as soon as I saw her getting into her truck I staked my claim with the turn signal.
-
I’m waiting a good 2 minutes for her to leave before the aforementioned ass clown even appears, his wife driving. They stop their Escalade and THINK they’re gonna take my space… WRONG.
-
I move my Firebird forward, blocking the Escalade AND even blocking the poor woman just wanting to pull out and leave the mall. Sorry, lady but Bullshit is not on my menu tonite. I get out immediately after my ‘bird comes to a stop and ass clown and I get into a heated exchange. I can’t believe the brass ones this clown got.
-
I guess he wasn’t as stupid as he was arrogant. He relented and I parked. As I walk toward the mall the security patrol arrives. I summarize the story in about 5 seconds and off we go.
-
Moral of the story: don’t let ass clowns get away with snatching parking spaces, it encourages them to do it again if they get the chance.

You should never put a sticker on someones car, even if they are parking like an idiot. That is still defacing someones vehicle, and that sucks. It might just be an ordinary sticker like the little smiley faces our kindergarten teacher used to put on our tests, but the adhesive part might stick the the car after you peel the sticker off. And that sucks. Also, you don’t know why the person parked like an idiot. The website shows images of vehicles involved in accidents with the sticker slapped on. Who cares if the innocent driver may have been in a collision with a drunk driver and was seriously injured (or worse), that poor soul still parked like an idiot.
-
I do frown upon people who park like, well, idiots, but I don’t feel the need to deface their vehicle. But sadly, there are people out there who think they should. And that sucks.

OR there is an Alternative….
((CAUTION Language in link)) Funny as hell though

Simply save that picture and print off a bunch and leave them in your glove box. Next time somebody does that to me I just slip one of those under the wiper. I usually keep 6 or so in the Glovebox….
Feel free to save the picture and make your own.
