Here's another comment I'd like to put out there. Why is Ford and Chevy going for around 310 on horsepower? Cmon, step up ur game. That's not what a full-sized truck should be. It should be a durable, hard ass workin truck with loads of power. I know there are a lot of Toyota haters out there, and I'm not much for them either, but I like how they're trying to stick with the Dodge with high power. This is what a full-sized truck should not be made of, not some wimpy shit that gets 21 mpg.

Alright, so obviously you all have opinions about these two. Me, I'd definantly go with the DODGE RAM, hands down. First of all, its more durable than the Ford. If you look around, there are usually much more old Dodges running on the road than Fords. And for you people saying the Dodge's tranny will drop before 100K, that's only rare. The only tranny I've had to replace in a Dodge was over 190K, much of those miles are hard-earned (towing heavy loads for extended periods, off-roading, etc). Our family is a die-hard Dodge community, and I can assure you, we have tested them. But I won't try to be biased here. My brother is the exception, for he loves Fords. He has an 06 Ford F150, and I have an 05 Dodge Ram 1500. We strapped ours together (back to back) and both put the petal to the metal at the same time... guess who won? The Hemi. We also took them to a closed-down drag strip while our friend signaled the go. Lets say I practically owned him. Sure, the Fords might be better on a sheet of paper as far as towing and payload, but I can assure you the Dodge is much more capable than listed. Now I understand to some that the image of the truck is important. I do to a certain extent. The new looks may be different than ever before, so take a while to let these styles sink in. I think the Ford looks quite classy (in a bad way) and out of shape. The Dodge looks a bit like its older models, but still different. I personally like the look of the Dodge much much better than the Ford. Also, what the fuck is up with the new "man steps" on the Ford? They must be for pussies. I think a Rambox would be more of use for people that actually use trucks, unlike pussies in the cities. And by the way, The Dodge puts out 390, not 380, but that's not a big deal when its already above Ford. The only plus I see on the Ford's side is 1 mpg better than Dodge (but once again, the Dodge puts out more power.) Haha, and for you Charlie, I agree that the Dodge should be put in the Bullrun. I now have over 140K miles with no problems. I plan to put a 4" lift on mine w/ 35" tires and new rims to do more hardcore mudding with friends.

Neither brand of truck really did anything for me until now. I like the new Ford F150 this year. The interior is really sharp and I like what they have done with front clip. Although I would like to see more crome on the FX4 series. Lots of power pumping out of the 5.4 Litre 310 hp, no where near the almost 400 hp the hemi pushes. This will change in 2010 when the Ford SVT Raptor is available to the public.... Can't wait.

I'd have to say.... in this comparison I'd go with the dodge definitely. I've owned several dodge trucks over the years and they never disappoint. I grew up in Ford country in Illinois, but switched to dodge because of performance problems. I do a lot of hauling and whether its a Ram with a Cummins engine or just a plain ol' 1500, they've easily gone 400k for me. My only transmission problem was in my '90 dakota when I had to replace the transmission after 75k. Dodge's new lifetime warrantee on powertrain just shows how strong they're built. I admit I did buy an F-250 in 2005, but after about 60k I got rid of it. Too many problems. Ford CAN make a great truck, but that's only about 1/3 of the trucks they put out. The other 2/3's turn out to be lemons.

1 Dodge
2 Chevy/GMC
3 Ford
4 Nissan & Toyota.....screw them.

Well to me I think that ford has really gone backward with this new styling, Personally I don't think they will ever make a better looking truck than the 04-08 model, its lines are smooth and flowing, but also manly & strong. I think the new f-150 looks frankly "shocking" its so ugly compared to the last one, the grill is too big, tail lights & tail gate suck & the front head lights look stupid & square like something from the 1980's. However I also think the ram looks pretty terrible too. I'm keeping my 06 fx4 as I think its better than both the new ram & f-150
