"Artists" Plan Chevy Nova Ice Cube

It’s stuff like this that makes me wish there was some kind of national organization with the power to confiscate old cars that are being threatened with destruction for the sake of entertainment. Or maybe just some burly Michigan gearheads willing to go repo a certain ill-fated Chevy Nova. What a pair of mush-brained "artists" are hoping to do to the car (and yeah, I realize the use of scare-quotes is a lame clich, but people who wreck cars for fun simply should not be dignified with the term) is submerge it in a tank of water and then freeze it into a giant popsicle. What’s worse, these self-righteous publicity hounds have recruited a local high-school shop class to build their ice-mould for them. Sweet: exploiting child labor, and instilling idiotically destructive attitudes in kids who might otherwise be developing more positive skills. Don’t you think students would be better off learning how to actually preserve a classic ride (hint: ice doesn’t work too well for that), rather than wastefully totaling one?

Wow, yeah. Art.

Well, if it’s one of those 80’s “Novas” then I say have at it, it won’t be missed.
