Former 90210 Star Goes Indy
By Jen

Jason Priestly, known to Gen-X’ers as goody-two-shoes Brandon Walsh from the epic teen soap-opera Beverly Hills 90210, is putting together his own IRL race outfit, Rubicon Race Team, which will be building a car to run in the Indy 500 in May. Priestly has avoided the TV-washup path followed other former 90210 stars by remaining fully immersed in racing, driving rally and open-wheel until a violent crash in 2002 shattered his back and feet and threatened to end his budding racing career. Now on the mend and back in the game, Priestly is stoked: as he told AP about the build-up to Indy, "Dude, this is going to be so fun." More on msnbc.

I don’t like seeing stars in this stuff come out of nowhere, when you’ve got some back woods star who has never seen a good road and his 350hp baja jumping faster than an indy car buggy defying all logic without a chance because of the big budget lacking.. but at least the guy in photo crashed and has 6 years before a big league.
