it cant be that hard to cut the power wire to the nav system or simply just pull the FUSE!!! , but ya if you can afford it you dont need the warentee.

Good point Ted, if disabling the Navigation system won’t void the warranty too. Hertz did all kinds of stuff to the new GT-H to put urban legends and rent-a-race car stories about the old GT350Hs to rest. Skilled Mustang fans were able to override the TCS at least, but if Hertz knew, well you know….

Well, if I could afford a GTR, to hell with the warranty and the paranoid azzwholes who are too goddam nosy.

Suggested GTR mod: Seek and temporarily disable factory GPS to blind the azzwhole big brother. I bet it can be done.

Ughhh… The GT-R looks like it would be a blast to drive at the limit. Its not a good idea to void the warranty just for driving it on a racetrack. How many GT-R buyers would want to take it on the track? If I bought one, I know I would. Also, racetracks are a safe environment to enjoy you car and see what it can do. If anything, Nissan should be encouraging buyers to drive the GT-R on a track. If Chevrolet did what Nissan is doing with the GT-R with the Corvette, I would probably cry. I wonder how many possible buyers this might turn away, how many street racing arrests this might cause, and how many people will void their warranty. Bad move, Nissan, very bad move.

that car has so much dumb technology that it sucks i dont like it at all its electronically limited to 119 mph unless youre on a racetrack $70k for a car that’ll only do 119 without voiding the warranty is just a bit to much

What about car shows and events held at tracks on the infield? Forget about taking your GTR to NOPI, you’ll void the warrantee crossing over the track.

Haha ya thats kinda how it looks… I mean I can understand if they dont want people doing stupid things with their cars like race them and break them then trying to warranty the problem (there is a reason we have insurance), no they would much rather you go out on the street and do stupid things that get innocent people killed in the process. Yeah it sounds like a good plan…not.
