Empire State Building Accused of Creating Automotive Dead Zone

By Jen

Concierges, bell hops, and cabbies have noticed something weird in Manhattan. A lot of newer cars exhibit odd behavior when parked within five blocks or so of the Empire State Building, sometimes locking their owners out or refusing to start. Electronics geeks speculate that the building’s excessive broadcast equipment, which includes antennae for 13 TV  and 19 radio stations, is somehow scrambling the cars’ remote keyless entry systems. Conspiracy theorists, on the other hand, suspect covert anti-terrorism measures designed to thwart remote-detonated bombs. In any case, AAA tow drivers get a lot of calls to the area, but generally find that they only have to drag a car a few blocks in any direction and it’ll start up again just fine. What is happening here is a low power EMP. The cars, Phone’s, Laptoppes and ect with newer metal alloy’s,platinum and iridium we’ll be afected.

Wow, I just listened to this on the radio, i just have to come see it over the net..
Might be true all the electronics + stuff, maybe some kind of communication of who knows what…?
I just read that Mercury, the planet of communication, appears to be moving backwards in the sky, corresponding with travel delays, miscommunication and more. and again who knows? Maybe we will never know.. what’s going on.. & lets just hope it don’s spread all across NY..
For now, Just don’t park around there…;)!!!

I agree with I_luv_dusty.
.
I’m making my own tin foil hat.
.
Gonna wear it everywhere ;)
.
That’ll show those mind-controlling aliens!

to add to the crazy theory: electronics and waves and thier environment has a saturation point. Even after removing an exact finding, it will linger like limestone that gave back the odors. Can’t really put it through a car wash like an early ecu’d jap car with same symptoms. I would seriously like to see the real resolve of thier problem. I hope it is simple.

If you make a hat out of tin foil, the aliens can’t use their mind-control ray on you.

How about it’s a special antenna the Government uses to contact aliens. Or mabey even a “paranormal” antenna like that building in Ghost Busters haha. Interesting story to say the least.

Cars do not have priority over the ESB or anything else
on the frequencies they use, including Bluetooth and RFID frequencies.

Maan that’s wierd, but I’m glad I read this. Occasionally I have to go to Manhattan. Neither of my Pontiax are brand-new so the may be immune, but I won’t take any chances.

As far as the conspiracist theory is concerned, I think it’s very possible, since such a countermeasure or detection system would be a valuable assett in such a critical area.
-
There very well could be other things causing it, though. There are millions of cell phones activated there at any given moment, and so much more electric and electronic activity. Because the buildings are so big and so much power is consumed, A LOT of electricity is coursing beneath the streets of Manhattan… all of which combined can be stressing more and more sensitive sensors and systems in new cars.
-
Worry if the older cars are also not starting.
