It’s All About Timing

I’ll be honest, I haven’t been driving my Mini that much. Let’s see, it’s been a little cranky, and we have some other cars here at the house. That situation changed a week ago, as our regular contributor Carl Heideman came to visit.
Carl might not look crusty, but he knows his way around British classics. In just a little bit of time he tuned the Mini and got it purring. It now almost always starts on the first try and then quickly settles into a nice idle. It also runs so much better–no more flat spots when accelerating. You can read some specifics here.
So, since this past weekend was the Rolex 24 At Daytona, I brought the Mini down to the track. We hosted a big party for our readers, and I figured they’d get a kick out of the car. Turns out that they did.

Thanks, glad that you’re enjoying the stories about the car. If the weather is nice this weekend, I think we’re going to take it out for a drive.

I LOVE that Mini. Every time you post about it it makes me dream a little bit. Great ride.
