Nippon Deuce

By Ralf

Chromjuwelen

The students at the Shizuoka Professional College Of Automobile Technology in Japan hot rodded a Mazda Carol, the first car ever build by Mazda. The Mazda Carol has its engine in the back, but to make it a more traditional hot rod, they took the ladder chassis from a Suzuki SJ30 and put the engine in the front. Mission accomplished! More pics after the jump.

Clean… Pretty awesome job… yet I don’t really like it anyway.

That is actually really cool! I love the retro rat-rod-ish flavor of it! And I agree, it does look better without the hood and side covers! But whats with the tiny exhaust pipes?! lol

Wow looks like a lot of work went into it, but i’m not sure it’s a hot rod. The mufflers look real bad ass… just like a pocket bike, lol.
