Tampa Cops: Puking Baby Does Not Grant License To Ill
By Jen
Editor
A Florida woman whose 3-year-old was upchucking all over the inside of her Dodge Caravan did not get out of a ticket by pointing to the vomitot as an excuse for her illegal U-turn. Gina Boyd claimed she had to make the dicey maneuver so she could pull over and deal with the distressed child, but the attending cop didn’t agree, and smacked her with a $123 fine. What do you think: should an unwilling barf-o-rama participant get the same ticket as everyone else, or should those "Baby on Board" stickers now be read as a blank check for erratic driving?

That is the best Halloween pumpkin I’ve ever seen!
Hope that isn’t what the vomitous kid looks like!

evan, you must not now that intersection in tampa, there is no where to pull over there when u are in a far left turn lane and there are 3 lanes to the right of you and a median to the left. what she did was more safe then jumping out in an intersection on a green arrow. if she would have turned she would of had to merge to the rht again. there is no time when a kid is choking on vomit. on her news clip she said her daughter was choking.

i don’t think puke is a reason to make illegal maneuvers; but if i was in the cop’s shoes, i’d let her off just because it’s so funny.

Why the heck didn’t she just pull over to the side of the road? Stupid lady driver.
